Little Feng pouted, unsure of what to do. He gazed at the ground before looking up at Yang Xia.
"Do you know why you can't cultivate, master?"
Little Feng asked, curious. Yang Xia could only shake her head, all she knew was that she had been a waste since she was young. Little Feng hummed, furrowing his thin bows at a sudden idea. He straightened his back and stood still, concentrating on something. The female next to him looked at him weirdly, trying to figure out what he was doing.
Within a second, a red light enveloped his body as Little Feng slowly turned into a small ball of flame. Yang Xia's eyes almost bulged out as she took a step back away from the glowing boy.
"What are you doing...?"
She asked in total disbelief. A red-headed child just turned into a literal ball of flame; how could she NOT be concerned? Not responding, the ball of flame dispersed into her body. A warm sensation could be felt before it quickly vanished and out came Little Feng, intact and no longer a ball. In a way...Yang Xia felt as if she somehow gave birth. Her face slightly scrunched up, appearing now as if she was disgusted or planning a sudden murder...
"Oi...What did you just do huh?"
She half demanded, half asked. Little Feng nervously laughed, scratching his head and staring at the ground.
"M-Master, I checked your body's condition and I found that your meridians and arteries are completely blocked!"
"Huh. Is that so?"
The female crossed her arms, her hardened features softening from his response.
"Well, I'm not surprised...That's the usual outcome in these types of novels."
Yang Xia looked indifferently at his words. She had already figured out that she was a waste because of some sort of complication in her body. After knowing that it was due to just blocked meridians and arteries, somehow it didn't seem as big of a deal as she thought it would have been. Little Feng stared at his master; a look of concern sketched on his face. He couldn't help but question the female's sanity.
"Master, shouldn't you show a bit more concern for your situation...?"
He quietly mumbled, more to himself than at her. Shaking his head to rid himself of his worried thoughts, Little Feng cleared his throat before reporting the final thing he found.
"Also, your soul is sealed."
PFFFFFFFT.
That would be the sound of Yang Xia spitting out water IF she had been drinking at that moment.
Yang Xia, to say the least, was surprised. Her soul was sealed? She didn't remember anything about her soul being sealed in her memories, nor did she speculate this. This was all news to her. She choked back her surprise and furrowed her brows.
"What do you mean, my soul is sealed?"
"I'm not too sure, Master. Usually, when you look at a person's soul, it appears as a bright ball of light...but your soul...is completely hidden and I can't see it!"
The small female pondered for a moment, taking in what he said. Since there was nothing to go off on, Yang Xia couldn't do much. She silently decided to discuss her soul another time when she finally found another clue about it. Thus, she left her thoughts at that.
"Well anyways, do you have the ingredients needed to unblock my meridians and arteries?"
She questioned. There wasn't a point in asking if she could be cured when she already knew she could, so she decided to directly ask about the remedy. Besides, she wanted to quickly unblock her meridians and arteries so she could get it out of her way and not have to worry about it in the future.
On the other hand, she also needed power. And fast. Without it, survival would be slim. She had already experienced it just moments ago with her bleeding abdomen. Being unable to protect herself made Yang Xia feel completely helpless, which irritated her to no end. But with this, she could kill two birds with one stone.
"A-Ah yes...um...of course, I do!"
Little Feng stuttered, taken back by her straightforwardness, yet quickly regained his posture and returned to his usual cheerful self. Sticking his chest out in a proud manner the young boy wiped his nose, pleased.
"The Soul World houses many spiritual herbs!"
"Back when my old masters were still alive, we used to go to the mountains to cultivate and train. I had a habit of collecting random herbs and plants along the way, so there's endless of different amounts here! Especially since I've been growing countless more for thousands of years while waiting for my new master!"
Little Feng continued to ramble on about his journeys with his previous masters and all the experience he had gained with them. It seemed as if he didn't want to stop talking...
"Therefore, the ingredients needed should all be here!"
Little Feng looked pleased with himself. He opened his mouth once again to talk but a hand quickly clamped over his mouth.
"Little Feng, please stop talking already. Just keep everything to a minimum..."
Yang Xia was getting tired of hearing his voice constantly now. She was reserved and, most of the time, a calm person while talkative people seemed to only disinterest her. Plus, the fact that Little Feng was a child, seemingly made her more uncomfortable and annoyed.
Little Feng got the memo and quickly shut up, despite being unable to talk anyway with her hand on top of his mouth. Yang Xia then asked,
"When will I be able to start my treatment?" removing her hand in the process. Little Feng thought for a moment before answering.
"well, four days in the Soul World is equivalent to 1 day in the real world. Roughly a month here should do the trick! Master! during your treatment, you can make yourself comfortable here in your world!! Would you like me to show you around?"
he grew excited with each second passing by. Yang Xia thought about it, it would take a while to be fully cured and she could just take her time to look around in the meantime. Besides, she was currently not ready for the world outside. It would be best to prepare beforehand.
"Alright, I'll stay here. Hey, help me properly wrap this wound I got earlier"
She pointed at her lower abdomen, which was messily wrapped with bits of ripped out fabric. Little Feng's eyes bulged out, not noticing her injury until now. A new stream of tears flooded out from his wide eyes.
Yang Xia deeply sighed.
