Mysteries abound from the old man and much like the rest of his life his fort was no different. There was a strange bunker near the eastern side of the wall the entrance on the northward side of the forge. The door was cast iron with a metal frame and a heavy iron lock, it seemed that there was no purpose for the shack but inside who knew what fortune might be found in there. The forge seemed to always remain alight for the logs would burn in a ring so that the fire could remain alight for almost a full day. The bellows were large and were posted all around the forge allowing for 4 separate objects to be smelted/forged at the same time. Currently there were only some compounds of bronze and iron on the northern and eastern side. On the large bench which seemed to be handmade out of mountain cedar planks and birch saplings for legs were several handmade molds for swords, spears, even metal coiling for bows and arrow heads.
It was clear to Samantha that her patron was a very obsessive man with his work and she wouldn't be in a dangerous situation with him around from his strong arm to his dedication to his work she and her child would be safe as long as she didn't meet any other unsavory characters. However it was apparent that he lived alone. How he came by the child of maybe one week old was a complete mystery. She was scouting there rim of the wall she found water buckets surely for dumping water in case a fire should occur. She knew this man was either very cautious or had someone looking to kill him for the steps he took were eccentric for his own security.
