Chapter 9 - Her wings were meant to fly

Seb awoke in a rather comfortable position next time.

She was lying on a bed like a dead, unknown of the time passed, covered with a quilt.

As soon as her eyes opened, she got up with a jerk!!!

But before studying her situation, she clasped her head and fell back on the bed. Her vision and mind still weren't clear.

"Ah!!!....", she exclaimed irritated,"It feels like I'm suffering a hangover after 50 shots! My head is so heavy". Realizing something, she re-quoted her lines again,"I can't believe I'm carrying on with the drinking metaphors at a time like this.....I must be crazy!", she scolded herself and sank into the bed, cuddling within it.

"Absolutely...You're a total psycho", said a voice. It was familiar. Seb knew him.

Lucifer was in the room all this time. Seb was so stuffed in the mind, that she didn't notice at all. He was watching her from before she awoke and kept himself intact when she was uttering nonsense too.

Seb was extremely startled when she heard his voice. She wasn't aware of someone else's presence in the room.....especially him!!!

She tried to get hold of herself and get up.

"Don't move so quickly!", came the ordering tone from Lucifer,"The medicine on your head is a drug...you won't get a clue of your actions".

But Seb was up already, with her hand on her head.

She spotted Lucifer sitting straight opposite to her on a easy chair, in a blue shirt and joggers, concentrating on a book down he's holding open. The room was no doubt a ship room with one glance.

"Are we...in the ocean?...Am I being shipped off?"...Seb managed to ask. Her words were twirling with each other.

She felt that the ship wasn't moving, it was still! It must be anchored.

But Lucifer ignored those questions and continued to do what he was doing.

Slowly Seb's brain started clearing out. She could see and think on her right mind. But the heaviness still persisted. Eventually her quick egoistic temper returned and it triggered at Lucifer's ignorance. She didn't take it well.

"Hey!!....", she called," I'm talking to you...Lucifer", and the name sprang out of her mouth automatically.

That successfully dragged his attention. He looked at her straight with a deep expression," What did you just call me?", he asked with a manner that is totally impossible to ignore.

Seb got her victory and replied frankly,"You know the book? Lucifer?? ...That character reminds me of you".

-And why Lucifer...of all names?

-It suits you perfectly!

-What!!!

-You know...Lucifer...ruler of hell...drop dead cold attitude. Suits you.

Lucifer's eyes narrowed as he looked down on the book. Clearly he was not amused.

Seb sighed as she touched the back of her head to check it. It wasn't bandaged but some kind of ointment was applied on it. The blood flow was stopped. Strangely, her sleeve which was blood drenched, was wiped clean too.

No, Wait!!!.... The stain wasn't gone...the sleeve was gone!!!

"Where'd my sleeve go?", Seb's voice raised a bit. Lucifer looked up and closed his book finally. Now Seb had his complete attention. He folded his hands and watched her.

"You've torn my sleeve!!", Seb complained, "You Lucifer! That was one of my favorites".

Lucifer tsked at being called that," Why do I care?", and shot a cold reply," It was drenched"

-What else have you done?

-What do you mean?

-You tore off my sleeve...at this rate, you're more capable than this.

-Right!

-How long are you going to continue this joke?

Lucifer threw a questioning glare at Seb.

Seb continued, "Wasn't it enough just to hit me so mercilessly and lose so much blood? You also had to hold me captive and do whatever you want? It'd be better if you could've just left me there after attacking me and I'd taken care of my own. And now, I'm...lying on your bed.... I feel you are really a Lucifer!!!".

Lucifer's jaw tightened. He spoke with a sterner tone," Enough!!! My name....is not Lucifer!!!", He said," As I said earlier, you're a complete psycho. You poked yourself which wasn't your business. And had I left you there, you'd have died by now. I couldn't let myself be a murder suspect and also.... you've seen too much!!!"

"You were the one to bring me in this position and you credit yourself of not letting me die?", Seb snapped finally."

"Was it me too who asked you to follow me?", Lucifer was too sarcastic.

Seb stared blankly. She had no reply for that. It suddenly hit her and her intuitions told her to escape the psychic person as soon as possible. She didn't even call Erica this whole time. She must be so worried and looking for her.

But now her priority is to get out of this Lucifer's den. She recalled her wits and tried to be calm. She needs to trick him out of this. It's going to be hard judging the type of person Lucifer is.

"That thing...was my fault", she said without looking at him, "You've already got it back at me for that. Won't it be better if you let me go now?"

"You're not going anywhere", came a cold response as Lucifer had opened his book again.

"What?", Seb expected that. Her heartbeat increased a bit.

"I can't allow you to escape", Lucifer was abnormally calm," You've seen too much".

"You're holding me hostage?", Seb asked. She didn't let her bold tone fade. She tried not to flinch.

"No...a captive", corrected Lucifer," I don't want no ransom. You will be staying here for now". His voice was normal for a situation that intense and serious. He had abducted someone and was conversing frankly with her.

Seb ran down straight to her stubborn attitude. "I need to go", Seb wasn't requesting," Now!!! And you are no one to stop me".

Saying she slid off the blanket and got off the bed. Immediately she felt the drug's effect on her brain. She was dizzy. But she didn't let it show to him. She gathered up strength and started walking towards the door. She failed to notice that even Lucifer has stood up and was marching at her direction.

As soon as she opened a slit of the door, a hand whirled past her with a terrific speed and banged loudly on the door. It shut and got auto locked since it was so forceful.

Seb turned around and found Lucifer's face just a few centimeters above her. His face had a cold expression and a dark stare in his eyes. He leaned and met Seb's eyes covering up the distance between them.

"I said.....", he spoke in a chilly tone," You're not going anywhere".

"Try to stop me...", Seb challenged as she prepared for the next move. In a blink of an eye, she caught his hand and placed her feet behind his. It was one of her successful moves in Taekwondo whenever applied.

As she bent a little and stepped forward with an intention to overthrow him on the floor, her technique backfired instantly!!!

She found her arms in a strong restrain, as she had no idea what actually happened. Lucifer pushed her against the door roughly and Seb clashed with the door with a loud noise.

She was completely stupefied. Lucifer just broke down her move. Finding a loophole in her almost perfect moves isn't possible if the person is not a trained Taekwondo artist.

That means.... Lucifer is a Taekwondo artist too.....and a skilled one!!!

Lucifer was really pissed off now. Seb could do nothing to free her weak self from his inhuman bondage. He looked into her eyes. His eyes were leading out intense heat.

"Don't show off your moves here", his devilish deep done prevailed," You don't realize the situation you're in right now, do you? Now you have really make me go mad".

Seb felt a scare for the first time now. Why did he seem so dense? He won't try something on her, would he? The drug effect was getting stronger and she was getting weaker. She won't be able to put up much of a fight if something happens now.

Lucifer grinned his teeth as he grabbed Seb's arm and pulled her roughly.
