At least 1 and a half hour passed.
Neither Seb or Lucifer had a wink of sleep. Lucifer tried to keep himself engrossed in the book and Seb was just pretending to sleep. How can anyone sleep in such in that situation?
Lucifer was occasionally lifting his eyes from the book and checking on Seb. He noticed that the blanket was shaking terribly. It was actually Seb who was shivering, being unaware of it. Lucifer kept staring for a while.
Finally he gathered up his courage to speak up.
"Hey!!!", he tried not to sound too cold. His voice sounded more seducing when he was not using his regular accent," Are you cold?"
Seb was still shivering. She heard him but she didn't want to answer him. She didn't even want to look at him. But again, she might annoy him and make him lose his temper. She tried to answer but her words twirled.
"I...yeah...eh..yea...", she couldn't grasp and fumbled on her words. Her cracked voice was barely audible," Well,....may be....little...I'm fine.....".
She found trouble speaking as she chocked on her throat. The fact that she was shivering was because she was afraid of Lucifer apart from the cold, was hated to be admitted by her. She won't surrender even if she was totally broken. She won't let him know that her courage is scarred. She disgusted him!
Lucifer sighed and walked up to his closet. He produced another quilt from it and walked up to Seb. Learning that she was in no condition to put it on herself, he volunteered to do it himself.
Other the other side, Seb was blank of thoughts. Why was he doing it? How double faced can he be? Was this some kind of trick?
Although Seb was covered from head to toe she didn't stop shivering. Lucifer thought that it would be best to give her some space of her own, as he walked away from her.
Though he had his eye on her, he pretended to arrange his belongings on the table.
Judging the sudden change in the atmosphere and Lucifer's mood, Seb hatched another plan. He appeared a little less cold and it was time to strike the iron.
"...Hey...um...listen....", Seb uttered in broken tone. But it failed to reach Lucifer. She gained all her strength and gave it her all,"....Lucifer...I...."
"Don't you dare say that again!!!", Lucifer interrupted without turning back. He was annoyed again," My name is not Lucifer!!!". He clearly was irritated but his manner of speaking wasn't rueful.
But still Seb was taken aback. She coughed a little. Her headache increased. Lucifer relaxed his mood and tried not to get angry. He spoke again and in a softer but plain tone this time," Is it something you require?"
She must need something because she had spoken first time by herself after this whole time.
"What is.....your name?", Seb asked pausing momentarily. She didn't know why did she ask that to her abuser but it just came out of nowhere.
"That won't be necessary!!!", came the sharp reply," Tell me something you really need!".
Seb understood that it was in vain to seek for his identity. She came straight to the main topic,"....Let me....go from here", her voice was pleading.
Lucifer turned his face at her and then turned fully to make sure he has heard her correctly. His eyes narrowed.
Seb understood that look and repeated again somehow," I want..... to leave..... Let me go," she stopped for a breath and continued," You'll gain nothing....from this. I won't say...a word to anyone.....I promise!!", Seb started panting after saying so much. It wasn't easy judging her sensitive condition.
Lucifer looked away," I can't do that," he walked across the room towards his laptop.
"Please....", Seb mumbled," I won't spill a thing".
"Quit begging...I'll take no risk", Lucifer continued what he was doing and didn't meet her eyes. His ignorance was bitter.
Seb gritted her teeth. She was boiling severely and her headache was unbearable. but it was no time to show it. She was letting out heavy breaths and suddenly she blurted with all her leftover energy,"You...really are....Lucifer!!!", as she pulled up the blanket and covered herself totally from Lucifer's glare.
Lucifer stopped for a moment and looker her way. He hated for having done that to her but letting her go wasn't something he could do so easily.
He tried to clear it out,"Listen...I'm sorry for what I've done but....."
"Sorry?....That doesn't....even cover it!", Seb suddenly started replying to him very actively but angry. She hit his soft point when he was trying to be polite and remorseful.
-I know, but still I'm.
-Well if you are, .....then let me go.
-We're not talking about that again.
-Then...don't try to talk at all.
-Listen to me.....
-Talk only when your conditions meet mine.
-I can't let you go. That's it!!!
-Then...shut it...Lucifer!!!
-Call me that again, and I shall....
-...Shall what?....violate me again???....Go on!!!
The direct invitation felt like a warning threat towards Lucifer. He flinched.
He was trying his best not to lose his temper again. His breathing increased but he managed to control it.
"It would be best if we didn't talk", he spoke deeply. His voice revealed a chilly aura.
"Fine by me!!!", came a sharp whisper. Seb had already spent her leftover energy in the argument. She couldn't continue further. Though she fought back, her heart was beating too fast. Her fear sustained but she didn't let it prolong more, in case she invited her doom again.
This guy....Lucifer, is a beauty-disguised beast. An unpredictable charisma. A seductive pain. And an irresistible threat.
