Chapter 20: Meet High God
What kind of person Orion must be. The team, upon landing on the planet, was greeted by the locals, who were amazed by the Phoenix's advanced technology.
As they walked through the bustling streets, Orion couldn't help but marvel at the technological advancements of the planet. He saw robots walking alongside humans, holographic advertisements floating in the air, and buildings that seemed to defy the laws of physics.
"This is amazing," he muttered under his breath, earning a chuckle from Jake.
"I know, right? And we thought our ship was advanced," Jake said with a grin.
Maya turned to Zara. "I wonder if we could get some upgrades for the Phoenix while we're here."
Zara nodded, a determined look on her face. "Definitely. Let's see what they have to offer."
As they made their way through the city, they eventually arrived at a massive palace, surrounded by gardens and fountains. Guards in ornate armor stood at attention, watching their every move.
"Looks like this is the place," Maya said, gesturing towards the palace.
They walked towards the entrance, but before they could enter, a voice called out to them.
"Halt. Who goes there?" The guard asked, his voice stern.
"We are travelers, seeking an audience with the high god of this planet," Orion said confidently.
The guard looked them over before nodding. "Very well. Follow me."
They followed the guard through the palace's winding corridors, their eyes widening at the opulence and grandeur of their surroundings.
Finally, they arrived at a massive throne room, where an old man sat on a jade throne, surrounded by women feeding him grapes.
"Greetings, travelers," the old man said, his voice surprisingly strong. "I am the high god of this planet. What brings you here?"
Orion stepped forward, a sense of reverence and awe filling him. "We seek your wisdom and guidance, high god. We are on a mission to save the world from the dark gods, and we were hoping you could help us."
The high god raised an eyebrow, his gaze flickering over each member of the team. "Interesting. I sense great power within you, young one. And yet, I have never met you before."
Orion was taken aback. "You...you know me?"
The high god nodded, a small smile playing at the corner of his lips. "Yes, I have sensed your presence ever since your ship entered this planet's atmosphere. It seems fate has brought us together."
Orion couldn't believe it. The high god knew who he was, even though they had never met before. He wondered what other secrets the universe held.
The high god leaned forward, his eyes sparkling with amusement. "Tell me, young one, what is it that drives you? What do you hope to accomplish on this quest of yours?"
Orion took a deep breath, gathering his thoughts. "I want to make a difference. I want to help save the world, to restore balance to the universe. And I believe that with the help of my friends, we can achieve that goal."
The high god nodded slowly, his expression thoughtful. "I see. And what of your friends? What do they hope to accomplish?"
As the team members spoke, Orion watched as the high god's expression softened. He seemed genuinely interested in their goals and motivations.
After a few minutes of conversation, the high god leaned back in his throne, a smile playing at the corner of his lips.
"I see great potential in you, young ones. You have the power to change the world. But be warned, the road ahead will not be easy. The dark gods will do everything in their power to stop you."
Orion felt a chill run down
