Standing there staring at her, was Clarke. He finally looked her in the eye and said, "I can explain.." suddenly all the feelings of anger and confusion she had felt earlier came rushing back to Maisy. She crossed her arms and popped out her hip, obviously not very happy with him. Clarke seemed to understand that. To her surprise, he let out a very soft chuckle and gave her a smirk, sitting down in a nearby chair.
Maisy sat away from him as far as she could. She then broke the awkward silence, "You have a lot of explaining to do. What the fuck were you thinking when you left? Why didn't you respond? What am I doing here? And what happened after the crash."
She seemed to be going a million miles per hour. Clarke shifted his weight onto the front of his feet as he put his hands together, setting his elbows on his knee caps. He took a couple minutes to think and process everything, then he responded; "I had to leave. You're here because I brought you here and that's essentially what happened."
Maisy was extremely unhappy with his response or lack of one. She scowled at him and as she was about to say something in response, Clarke stood up and looked at her for a moment. He then walked out of the room, shutting the door behind him.
The curly haired female left behind was less than impressed by Clarke's attitude. She sighed and walked over to the bed. Falling back onto the bed, and letting out a large and loud sigh, Maisy thought to herself, "this man is sketchy as hell." She concluded that he was probably insane, or at least unaware of common manners. While she was in the middle of cursing Clarke's name and image in her head, there were a sudden three loud knocks on the door.
Scared, Maisy opened the door slowly. She peeked out through the crack between the door and the doorframe. In front of her was a tall and bony man, he was a rather skinny figure. Hesitantly, she said; "hello?" The fellow then casted his piercing glare onto her. He held a dark aura and showed no signs of smiling, ever. His grey hair was spiked up in the back, and his nose was large and pointy. In his monotonous voice, he replied to me sharply; "Hello Miss Greenwood, welcome to the Warberter estate." He stepped back from the door and motioned for Maisy to follow him.
