God... why is so bright all of a sudden?
Opening my eyes, which resulted in an instant intense glare from some freakishly bright sunlight. Deciding to wait for my eyes to adjust, I start to vaguely look around.
Green... and more green...
So a forest then, finally my eyes adjust only to look up at the source of freakishly bright sunlight.
Two suns... In the sky there is one giant ball of helium, looking much like the one I remember from before. Then there's the impossible white one right beside it, a bit smaller I might add but definitely new. No way a new sun could appear out of no where. Which means either I'm dreaming (most likely), in some sort of virtual reality (hasn't been invented... to my knowledge) or I've been teleported to another world (impossible). Such great options....
Looking at the forest in better detail then I could have earlier, I start to notice that the forest is not only green. There's pinks, blues, reds, purples, you name it some plant has it entirely or in variations.
Magical Forest in another world then.
Impossible option just became possible. However, I wasn't 100% sold on the magical forest notion just yet after all I haven't witnessed anything magical yet!
Bringing my hands into view, I start to think of all the fantasy style stories I've read in my spare time. The ideas I liked the most would be ones where magical energy can be channeled through brain power. Like how the character who think [Fireball] and a ball of fire would appear. Or the mechanics behind the story that had the character understand the physical process of creating a fireball scientifically and then it would appear. Either idea sounds doable so I'll start with the scientific one.
With my current goal in mind, I move my left palm away from me and start to think of the scientific process of creating a fireball and try to create a ball of fire right in front of my palm. Nothing, which means science is out or I don't totally understand the actual process in creating a fireball.
Imagination time!
Bringing my right palm beside my left, I focus on the space right in front of my palms and imagine a fireball hovering in the air. Slowly but surely, a small flame the size of my pinkie nail starts to form in the space right in front of my palms.
Moving my palms at the exact same time, I slowly move the small ball of fire towards me until it looks like I'm holding it in the palm of my hands. Sadly all too soon, the small ball of fire is snuffed out of existence due to a gentle breeze passing through.
Typical...
Well now that magic has been confirmed to be a concept here let's try out the other elements then.
I managed to create a small cyclone with a twirling of my finger, so wind is an element. Gestures seem to help speed up the mental process. An earth spike jetted out of the ground when I stomped my foot. Earth check!
Last of the basic elements in a normal magical world would be water. Taking both of my hands I start to move them parallel to each other up towards the sky, like I'm drawing water from a puddle or something. A thin line of sparkling water slowly starts to raise out of nowhere and follows the motion of my hands.
For the next 2 hours I continued to create small works of magic. For some reason or another, none of them where any bigger than the size of my head. And near the end of my magic session, I was extremely tired. Maybe this was the fabled mana exhaustion? Let's rest for a bit then.
Sitting down on a near by rock, I watch the magical forest.
