Chapter 1 - Chapter 1: Classroom

On the teacher's desk, there is a blue cardboard paper and a timer displaying 2 minutes, which is the only thing that looks out of place in this empty classroom. The tables & chairs are neatly placed, the whiteboard at the front is clean, the bulletin board at the back is filled with papers without a word written to them and there are no windows to my left as there is nothing to look outside except for a broad display of white, a place where the caravan and I come from.

I read the only thing that gives me some visible information - a single sentence written in gold.

Tell me about yourself.

Instinctively I know for the next sequence to happen, I have to introduce myself to the empty classroom in 2 minutes. To be sure though, I try to open the only door to my right. Twisting right, got a turn but not a single budge. Twisting left, my hand stay stuck.

Looking at the classroom again, I take a seat near the empty landscape and ponder my introduction to the emptiness. A luxury when you forgot you have the time in your life to make a decent introduction before a new year school in your school life.

How long is it after I have graduated from high school?

4 or 5 years, it doesn't seem to be long time, not enough to make me noticeable.

In my own words with my introduction, I move to the front of the classroom where the timer is located. Facing the empty classroom, I press my index finger on the timer and then I start my speech.

"Good morning...or good afternoon everyone, my name is --. I'm 22 years old and I'm currently unemployed, which is kind of awkward with me being here. So, I like reading comics and stories, the lighthearted ones to be exact. The reason why I'm here is that I see a caravan outside a park when I am doing some jogging. So I enter the caravan without even thinking and start the engine, even though I have not driven a car for months, the next thing I know, here I am.

...

Not even a minute, alright. So how do I like being here? I don't really know because it is my first time being here and I feel a little scared because I haven't seen anybody yet. Is this a dream? A simulation? Or an experiment? But it's okay for now because I'm used to being alone, just not in a really weird place.

Um...for the food that I like, I almost eat anything that is not too spicy. Which is why my mother usually make the same dinner for my family as my father, my sister and I have different preferences and even food that they may never touch. Even she's 20 I still haven't seen my sister willingly eat eggplants.

I just gone on a tangent right, because I am in a classroom, so I should talk about my studies, right? Of all the subjects I have attended I like English the most because a lot of people I encountered said that I speak English well enough to be a foreigner, although this never help with my college studies.

Oh, and my 2 minutes is almost up. Thank you very much for listening to my introduction, whoever it is I'm speaking to. "

The timer reaches 0:00 and beeps loudly, the door opens as the same time I let myself down on the floor, giving myself some time to breath against the mental nerve.

Getting my nerves back up from an event that shouldn't bring me embarrassment, I go to the door and open it.

I see a container, with visible black liquid. Is it petrol I'm seeing?
