Chapter 1 - Chapter 1: Moving day!

-March 30, 2022 -

Today is moving day.

"Ahnn!!"

"Hggg!!"

"Huff * hufff..."

"This is so hard father!! Why make me move heavy things?!" I said. I mean I am a pianist so keeping

my hands injured-free is important. My father sure does like to have fun. Even though he knew the

set date we will move our things, he didn't hire workers. It worries me."You'll never be a man if you

keep that up." he said which does make a point...BUT "That's the thing! I. AM. A. GIRL.!!!!"

I said looking at my dad with disbelief that he forgot his own Childs gender! "Oh shush.

Sometimes you have to experience hardships.". I sighed in agony as my father said that. My family is

a very profound one. I don't mean to sound cocky but almost all of the people knew who we are. I

am an only child so I can understand why my father does this things with me but for my mom to

accept this is saddening me. I mean does my mother not care for his daughter? To be perfectly

honest. I don't want to leave this neighbourhood. "Dear, I don't think that's going to fit." said my

mother as she looks at father with horror that he may break something. "It will fit" he said as he tries

to balance his way through the truck. I was sitting comfortably, minding my own business and he

caught my eye and suddenly said "Lend your old man a hand will you". I was just a little bit annoyed

that we didn't hire a worker so I asked "Can't we just hire a worker?". "Where's the fun in that? Now

c'mon and help me" typical dad. I wouldn't want to see my dad hurt himself so I went along with him.

That seemed to pump my dad and said "Alright Gwenn, on the count of three. One... two.... three!!

Push!!" Oh god. This is heavier than I thought. I do know that pianos would be heavy but not this

heavy. "D-dad it's - so heavy!!" I said as I was struggling to balance my self "I-I know that!" said

father. Luckily, my mom secretly hired a worker without my dad knowing. "Hello ma'am. We are here

to help you move your things." said the worker. "Oh just in time. Will you please help my husband

over there?" said by my mother to the worker with worry in her face but she hides it. While my

stubborn father said "We don't need h-help! We're fine!" which is a complete lie. The worker seems

to be in conflict on whether to help or not. I would be experiencing the same thing if I were in his

shoes but luckily I'm not "*sigh* Please help him. He' too stubborn.".

It went quicker than what had expected. Probably because there were fewer things to move "Phew!

Glad we finished before noon" he said as he sat down next to me. I was reading one of the books by

David leviathan and I got to say, his works are simply amazing. Every plot he makes is breathtaking.

Maybe someday I can write my own books too. "Here's some tea" as she places it to the table.

"Thank you mother! Ahhhh~ this hit's the spot!" mothers tea are always amazing. I can never get

enough of it! So does my dad. As I was about to finish my tea, someone called out to me. It was

Alisa. She is my best friend, we do things together and knowing that I will be apart from her is scary.

She was the first one to come up to me. She is very special to me. "Hey Alisa!" I said as I run towards

her. I couldn't keep my tears from coming out because the very thought of her gone scares me. "I

figured you'd be crying. Here's a tissue" she said as she hands over the tissue. She was always one

step ahead of me. Like she knows what I am going to do next. I took the tissue from her and thanked

her.

"So you're finally moving huh"

"Yeah..."

"I have something to give you so you won't forget me"

"I wouldn't even dream of forgetting you!"

"Haha..yeah I know but here"

She gave me a necklace. A shell necklace.

"It's so pretty!"

"Of course it is! I made that with my own two hands! You should feel overwhelmed that I gave that to you!"

"Can you put it for me?"

"Sure"

I know this would be the last time I see her. I feel like I'm about to burst out crying again. This made

me think that I'm weak. I'm weak for crying like this but I can't help it. I kept thinking that I might

never see her again.

"Goodbye"

Those were the last words I heard from her.
