Chapter 16 - Off the Market

(Quincy's POV)

After a round of couch cuddling and sweet-nothing whispers, we both settled on bringing our besties out for fun in the evening at Jazz bar.

I left my little darling's apartment feeling giddy like I had won the biggest lottery.

Once I was in my space, I sent out rounds of messages so everyone could know I was off the market.

My queen: I'm taken now. She's gorgeous, and you're gonna love her.

Papa & Mama: You'll be meeting your daughter-in-law soon. Thanks for your blessing in advance. Love you guys.

Jazz: See you at 9pm. Prepare your best man suit cause your guy is getting hitched.

GranGran & Papito: Old guys, you've waited long enough. She's here, and we are gonna make the cutest kids in the world.

Satisfied with my public announcement, I settled down on the couch and turned on the TV.

"Alexa, shuffle Elvis Presley's hit songs"

"Shuffling songs by Elvis Presley from Amazon music"

"Wise men say only fools rush in, but I can't help falling in love with you..." played as Presley's baritone voice filled the room.

Perfect song for my mood. Alexa probably felt the lovely atmosphere around me. I sang along happily with no care in the world. My phone dinged a couple of times, but I waited until 'Can't help falling in love' ended before I checked.

My queen: One more person to buy me gifts... Yay! Just don't scare her off with your nerdiness

Papa&Mama: Bring her over soon.

GranGran&Papito: I trust in your vision. Can't wait to play with my little Quincys. PS. This is granny. The old man is out causing troubles with the squirrels.

Sure enough, my parents are the only normal ones. Grandpa loves squirrels for an unknown reason, but they don't love him back. My parents are always supportive of my decisions, and I love them for that. My sister on the other hand milks everyone out until they declare bankruptcy.

After receiving their blessings, I resumed work on my laptop with Elvis still playing in the background. 'Burnig Love' was currently playing as I wait upon the evening to arrive.
