Chapter 52 - Chapter 20: Pendragon, Boring Party

A Month Later

Faith was enjoying a sunny day in the castle's garden. She had gotten along with the little bunnies that often appeared. So, she was playing with them. Later, on Kai and Lancelot joined her and then the condescending Arthur.

She had gotten somewhat used to Lancelot, but that didn't stop certain feelings from arising. But, at least she was able to keep herself from attacking him.

"Your Royal Highness, Sir Lancelot, Sir Kai, and Lady Fay, the royal court invites you to attend the Ball" And Aide of the royal court greeted and left not long after.

"A Royal Ball, huh" Faith commented, "Sounds like fun."

"The Royal Court is a totally different place. If a stupid girl doesn't know the Etiquette, then she would probably cause a commotion and drive us mad."

"Oh, so you think I don't know Etiquette," Faith said seriously as she was lying completely on the grass with fluffy white bunnies all over her.

"No," Arthur said.

"I'm still going, and I was invited just like you" Originally Faith didn't want to go but thought it would be better if she did. She felt like one of those 'event' things was going to happen there.

On that said day…..

Faith was suddenly surrounded by maids

"Fay," a beautiful woman said.

Her Highness the Queen said. Queen Josephine had sparkles in her eyes as she looked at Faith. The two had gotten along great since Arthur's Knighting Ceremony where they first meet. Faith often meets the Queen for some Tea Time.

A few moments later of playing dress-up and the Queen was satisfied. Choosing a beautiful Sapphire dress that was fitted with gold and white decorations it certainly complemented Faith's Black hair and eyes.

"Beautiful" The Queen looked dazed. Faith wasn't ugly; in fact, her beauty was mostly suppressed to keep people from falling for her like in the past. The Queen picked up a Sapphire brooch.

"With this, the dress will be complete," she said

"Actually, I think these will do better," Faith said as she took a couple of Chrysanthemums from a nearby vase and placed them in her hair.

The Queen's eyes sparkled as she looked at Faith again. "Your right they do suit you better."

The two accompanied each other to the Ball as they lightheartedly enjoyed conversations. Arthur, Kai, and Lancelot were already there.

Before they separated so that the Queen could Dance with Uther.

There was even a dining room. But the problem is that she was sitting next to the Marques she had met earlier.

"It is good to see you again, Madam," he said his eyes full of interest "I didn't quite catch your name."

"You may call me Fay."

"Gray Wine is my favorite. Is a Mixture of honey and grape wine. …." He kept talking, but Faith began to ignore and only responded very little.

Before she knew another came to sit on her the other side of her a very familiar other. The only other person that can attract Faith other than Lancelot.

Kai, Arthur, and Lancelot may have attracted attention themselves. But the handsome and Mysterious stranger cause the ladies to swoon.

Black hair was very attritive in Avalon, it was the most unusual, but it was attractive.

Although he was wearing a mask Faith could tell who he was. She couldn't breathe for a few moments.

"Fay, why aren't you eating?" the Marques said, snapping Faith out of it as she looked at him with a flushed face that sent him into overdrive.

"Fa-"

"Sir Marques apologies but I need some air" Faith stood up quickly and left.

Just as she was about to leave.

She saw the Duke leading a beautiful woman in, that caught her attention.

"Guinevere…" Faith trailed off as she watched them approach Arthur and the King. Faith's interest waned afterword a second, so she left to and went towards the garden.

She sat in a pavilion and basked in the moonlight; she was comfortable enough to doze off. Someone had lightly touched her face. Making her awake, it was the stranger she meets in the cellar.

Faith jumped out of her chair and fell to the ground.

"You startled me." She began to say. "I believe you owe me a name" Faith smiled

"Lucius Augustus"
