Chapter 124 - Chapter 16: Winter, April 4th Four Years Ago

Rose had walked into Griffin office he had a serious face. The house was empty as Anthony had gone on the field trip, Anise was staying over at a friend's house and Anna was away on business.

"I want to ask about that day," he said softly

Rose nodded and began to tell the story of what happened.

During that time, she was captured once and taken to a holding, where she meets Griffin son Andrew

"Hey, are you okay," Rose said to the man as she checked his pulse after uniting herself, she saw that he saw conscious but could barely talk as blood was dripping down his face. "You must have seen something you shouldn't have"

The people here wouldn't just beat some random person on the street Afterall.

Andrew wasn't the only here as another who was beaten cop, who didn't seem so lucky when she checked his pulse, she discovered he was dead. Rose went back to Andrew who was just laying there, it seemed like he was giving up. She quickly grabbed his wallet which had a picture of his family in it.

"Look he must be your family right here, don't you want to see them again?" She showed the picture to him and he started to cry and moan a little bit. And then after an hour, he sat up, so many emotions flowing through his eyes. He was starting to better enough to move around it seemed.

"Why are you here?" he asked, she just smiled at him

"My mom caused some trouble with them, So, they took me." He coughed "Can you stand and run?" she asked

"Why?"

"So, you can get out of here"

"…" her cheerful vide in this situation confused him

"I'm used to things like this happening to me," she said as she looked at the steel doors "Once they open those doors it will be the time to escape," she said to him "Do you think you can do it"

Andrew just stared at her in disbelief

"There are about 38 to 40 guys here, but it won't be hard to take them down" Again, he just looked at here. "Here" Rose took off her necklace and gave it to him "It's my good-luck charm. I'm sure you'll get out of here and see your family again.

Click, it seemed as they were about to open the doors again. Rose got up and rammed into the one opening the door. She didn't forget to grab his gun which was a revolver. She quickly shot them dead before they had a chance to react. She picked up the rounds that one of them and an extra gun, which she tossed to Andrew.

"You're going to need that," she said "The exit it to your right and down the stairs, the shipyard is somewhat far from the regular streets don't stop until you see people. I'm sure they will help you, all of then speak Korean."

"You…"

"I'm going to distract them" she smiled and ran off she had 32 bullets left so she had to make the court and take out as many she can. Otherwise, that poor man may not make it back to his family.

Rose was running around frenzied shot dead every enemy she saw until she was out. She dropped the gun because she ran out of bullets and there were no more guys running around. Since she took them all out she went back to the spot where she left Andrew to see if he left. It seems he did, but he wasn't too far as she saw him passed out on his way out of the shipyard.

It seems he ran as far as he could go before the injury's he sustained got the better of him and fainted. Rose helped him back to the nearby clinic before leaving quickly. Unlike him, she was still being targeted.

Griffin was silent he understood most of what happened even though Rose left some unpleasant parts out. But he understood fully that she had saved his son. Even though he ended up in a Coma.

"It seems like fate," he said

"It's a strange fate than" Rose responded

"it certainly is"

"You know I don't plan to stay" he nodded

"Anthony has changed his attitude, He at least…"

Rose shook her head "He was only influenced to change, you know that"

"Can you give my Family more time to, just only a little more?" he said. She looked at the poor old man, his family was already hitting below her tolerance level. But the grandfather might miss his chance to actually see his great-grandson grow up.

"Alright, but can you hold off on telling them this." She had a soft-spot for old grandfathers. Although Rose felt it wouldn't make much of difference, she would rather have his family like her for herself.

Inside she signed hoping she wasn't making a mistake.
