The Lord of Fireborn Realm was furious seeing her bride flee with one of his dragons. He whistled then a mighty red dragon with golden hinges went flying to him. He immediately rode it then he set it for flying. Its mighty wings flapped in the air, since he's more knowledgeable at riding dragons, and his dragon was way more bigger than, he was able to overtake his bride's dragon.
He whistled. The black dragon knew that command so he stopped. Aeon whistled thrice then the dragon flew back, following his command.
"What?" Briar screamed, annoyed that Aeon was able to order the dragon to go back and she couldn't do anything about it since she lacks knowledge about these dragons. The Lord laughed, annoying Briar more.
"You have no choice but to marry me!" The Lord said. Briar clenched her fists, she couldn't accept her fate. She still wanted to ran away.
When the black dragon landed, Briar immediately ran but, unfortunately, she tripped before she even reach a meter. She heard him laugh from a distance. She felt a strong wind from the red dragon's mighty wings as it landed. She was about to cry when she felt arms that carried her.
"This is the first and last time you'll run away," the Lord said. Briar sensed his seriousness. "You have no choice. You have to marry me."
"I don't love you nor like you!" Briar said as she struggle from his grasps.
"But you have to!" The Lord lost all his patience. "Your Realm's safety is on the line."
Briar began to cry.
"Why does it have to be me?" She asked which the Lord didn't answer.
The Lord didn't console her or anything. He just let her cry as he carried her towards the venue, the castle's garden, where their wedding will be held.
Despite the bride's tattered clothes, the wedding will still continue. Leila fixed their soon to be Lady's hair then applied some makeup on her, which wasn't really necessary because even without it, she's already a beauty.
The guests were already seated, anxious to see their Lord's bride.
Around 12am, the wedding started. The bride began to walk the aisle with the moon as her guide. The Lord of the Fireborn Realm smiled seeing how beautiful her bride was, despite the tattered gown, it didn't degrade her beauty. The Earthborn Princess is indeed lovely.
When Briar reached Aeon, she noticed fireflies that were like flickers of flame surrounded them. She didn't knew that those flickers were emitting from him. The Fireborn people hummed a song she never heard before. It sounds so calming, it makes her feel the solemnity of the ceremony.
"Will you, Briar Kinsella, accept me, Aeon Sancerre, as your mate?" The Lord of the Fireborn Realm asked.
Briar was hesitant to answer but then she remembered the Earthborn Realm. She sighed. She must do this. Their safety will be ensured by this wedding.
"I accept you as my mate," she said then tried her best to smile sincerely. "Will you, Aeon Sancerre, accept me, Briar Kinsella, as your mate?"
"I accept you as my mate," the Lord of the Fireborn Realm said. The fireflies began to twirl around them. It was like they were engulfed in flames. Aeon went to her then kissed her lips with passion. Briar was stiff, she was surprised, it was her first kiss! She didn't know what to do.
"Kiss me back," the Lord ordered her. She followed the Lord's rhythm. She felt her heart beat erratically. She felt something blossom in her heart. Was it love?
They were out of breath when the kiss ended.
"Hail the Lord and Lady of the Fireborn Realm!" The guests exclaimed.
