After their wedding, a feast was held. The whole garden was filled with loud music. All of the Fireborn people were merry dancing as they celebrated their Lord's marriage.
Briar was happily eating at the buffet when the Lord went to her and offered her a dance. She didn't even answer when he immediately held her hand and pulled her towards the middle of the garden, where all the dancing was held. All the Fireborn people watch them in awe.
As they dance, the musicians played a soft music, then flickers of flame emitting from their Lord's body surrounded the two of them.
Everyone who could see knew that moment was a sign that the Moon Goddess fated them for each other.
On the other hand, a vicious clan of werewolves, the Fraudulents, weren't happy when they received a message that the Fireborn Lord married the Earthborn Princess.
"He married my supposedly bride!" Carlos, the son of the alpha yelled as he walked back and forth at their camp.
"Carlos, calm down," the head of the pack, Arthur, his father, said. "We will get your little bride soon."
"We must ruin that damn Fireborn Realm!" Carlos yelled then he kicked a nearby tree to release his anger.
Carlos has always been in love with Briar Kinsella. They were best friends since childhood. He loved her for her kindness, intelligence and beauty. It was even rumored that Briar Kinsella was the entire Realm's most beautiful lady.
"We can't ruin those Fireborns, Carlos, you know how strong they are even though they lack people," Arthur said. With a smirk, he added, "But we can ruin other Realms."
"We must rule this time," Arthur said with conviction.
The next morning, Briar woke up to the sound of a humming. When she opened her eyes, a pair of argentine ones greeted her. She knew who owns those enchanting eyes.
"What are you doing here?" She asked, never getting her eyes off of his.
"Hm. I want to consummate our marriage," Aeon said with a grin.
"No!" Briar said then she threw a pillow at him. The Lord just laughed, he enjoyed teasing her.
"Get out!" She yelled while hitting him with a pillow. The Lord laughed and stood then he left. Before he could reach the door, Briar threw a pillow at him. It hit his nape. Aeon glared at her. This time, it's Briar who's laughing.
Briar couldn't clearly remember what happened last night after their marriage. All she could remember was, she fell asleep after eating bountifully.
The Lord was smiling as he walked to his office, reminiscing what happened last night after their dance. He could clearly remember how Briar got drunk with booze after their dance. He had to carry her towards her room, because she no longer could walk straight. She kept on tripping with every step. On the way to her room, the Lady kissed him. Then when he laid her on bed, she cuddled him tightly, not wanting to let him go. She's like a koala last night, hugging him so tight.
"You seem so happy, my lord," Souse said. "She brought you in bliss didn't she?"
The Lord furrowed his eyebrows. He didn't even looked at her as he entered his study room.
"What do you want this early in the morning?" Aeon asked when he heard footsteps enter the room. "If you just want to ruin my mood, you may leave."
Souse went to the Lord then hugged him tightly.
"Why didn't you chose me to be your mate?" Souse asked, hurt with the events, she cried. Aeon felt his back wet from her tears. He harshly removed the arms wrapped around him.
"In the first place, you know that I don't have any feelings for you," Aeon said. "It was you who insisted to stay and pleasure me. I declined but you had your uncle, the Lord of the Waterborn, plead you to be with me."
Souse wanted to hug Aeon once again but the latter glared at her so she didn't dare.
"I love you, Aeon," she said as she whimpered. "I love you ever since the first time I laid my eyes on you."
"You're too young to know what love is," Aeon said, while images of his former lovers invaded his mind. He suddenly become melancholic.
"I already lived for a century!" Souse exclaimed. "I know you're my destiny the first time we met!"
The two of them met at a celebration held at the Waterborn Realm. The moment Souse laid her eyes on him, she found the Lord enticing. She couldn't stop herself from stealing glimpses of him, she was immediately deeply attracted to him. Then she vowed to herself that she will be his wife. She must be his wife.
"I have lived for more than centuries that I already lost count," the Lord said. "Leave, Souse. It's an order," he said, looking straight at her eyes. Anger was evident in those argentine eyes.
Souse ran outside while tears were spilling from her blue eyes, hurt because the one she loves didn't feel the same.
Briar just got out from her room when she saw Souse all dressed up, carrying a duffle bag.
"You must be happy now that I'll be leaving," Souse said when she passed by Briar.
"You're leaving?" Briar asked innocently. "Goodbye then."
"Tsk. Be sure to pleasure the Lord well," Souse said. "I bet you can't." Then she took her leave.
Briar rolled her eyes. She went downstairs for breakfast.
