Logan was miserable, he was dragged around the city while Liz stopped at nearly everything. She pointed at it all, while asking Logan numerous questions about things. One could tell she had never been outside on her on, much less let loose in the city streets. They had spent four whole hours doing this, and Logan was starting to get fed up with it.
"Liz, I think that's enough for today. I just remembered I still have to meet up with someone! Sorry to cut this short,it was really fun to hang out with you today!!" Logan was trying to get out of this with an excuse, hoping she would believe it.
Liz looked sad, her wanted to spend more time with Logan. "Sure thing Logan. It was fun. Tell your friend I said hi, okay?" Liz seemed to sadden more and more as she talked, knowing that she had gotten ahead of herself earlier and that Logan was leaving just to get rid of her. Starting to tear up, Liz quickly ran away, abandoning Logan in the city.
Logan was confused at first, but then brushed it off thinking that Liz had someplace important to be. He was completely oblivious to her feelings. Logan started walking down a street, with no real direction in mind. He was too busy staring at Liz's ass when she ran that he had no idea where he was whatsoever.
Walking down the cobblestone street, Logan came across a row of stalls. Passing by, he had noticed that one of the stalls was looking for someone to help out. Logan, hearing his stomach rumble louder than anything else, decided to check out the stall, in hopes of a job and hopefully some food. Noticing a lady behind the counter, her looking about thirty or so years of age, Logan approached her.
"Excuse me miss, I saw your sign and was wondering if you still needed the help? I myself was looking for some work, after all I need some way to put food in me, yeah?" Logan blatantly stated, figuring honesty might help him out. When has honesty ever helped someone out? The lady seemed to mull over it for a bit, debating on whether or not she should let this rather brash young man help her out. She seemed to be lost in thought, taking nearly twenty minutes to come to a decision.
"Yes.. but on one condition. Aside from stocking my stall, you must always address me "Miss Iwamura" or "Boss Lady". If you can accept what I've set forth then welcome aboard!" The lady said, laughing at herself for coming up with such a condition, thinking that no one in their right mind would accept the conditions she had set forth. "I thank you for the job Boss Lady!! Thank you so much this means a lot to me, I can finally eat and even start earning money! By the way… how much am I getting payed a day?" Logan happily accepted this condition, thinking that it was an awfully lax thing.
"Wha…?" Mary, the stall keep, gaped in surprise. She hadn't expected him to accept the job so readily and easily. "Young man, may I know your name?" She asked, realizing she had yet to ask for the youths name. "Of course Miss Iwamura! It's Logan." Logan said this on the ready, as if he were expecting this question sooner or later.
"Logan huh.. Well then Logan, let me explain your job to you." Mary gestured to the stall and surrounding boxes as she said all of this. "Every day, you will set up all of the food on the counter, once that is done you will hang up the clothes on the rack to the left of the stand. We mainly have apples, bananas, and a few herbs, so be careful when handling these things. For the clothes, it's just a bunch of random shirts and pants, so you can just throw em up on the rack, just make sure people can see through most of them there. After that you are done for the day, I don't need help packing up as I'm usually sold out before the day is done." Mary took a deep breath, after saying all of the directions in one go she was slightly winded. "You pay shall be 2 pence a day, and a choice of one food item from the stock. You start tomorrow." She winks to Logan after saying this, and tosses him an apple. "Here ya go, I heard your stomach earlier." Logan nodded his head in acceptance and hastily bit into the apple, savoring it's taste. Forgetting to give a proper goodbye, Logan left while munching on the apple.
Mary smiled to herself, a light skip in her step. Her mood seemingly improved after the meeting with Logan. She hummed to herself as she began packing up her stall.
Logan, finished eating the apple and the core of the apple, continued walking. "System, how do I get stronger? I mean like increase my strength. Is there a way?"
