John opened the door and was greeted by a pile of bones, it was actually a group of 10 or more skeletons! They were those light reddish looking skeleton, so they must be really weak like the rest of them! So he charged toward the skeletons with his staff equipped. He wanted to get this over with, and start resting!
He quickly summoned his flame "You see that group over there, devour them!" the flame was confused by the surge of emotion it was feeling, it was too complex for it to understand it. The flame turned green and propelled itself when John swung its staff to hit the skeleton's skull; the flame flew over the skeleton's head that was in front and struck the one behind him. The flame hit the skeleton like a water balloon and explode on it's face, bursting close to him and hitting all of the skeletons. John felt a huge headache like the one he felt a couple of hours earlier.
The corrosion effect quickly dissolved four skeletons that were the closest sustaining the most damage, the hit did significant damage to the other skeletons as well since they were not far behind. The reason why the group is piled up on this side it was probably by the rattling of the chains on the other side.
"Skelly finish them please, you can finish them without sustaining any damage, most of them are disabled!" John said as he sat down in the floor, he was already tired and started eating the last snack he had left.
Four skeleton were crawling on floor and the other two were missing one of their arms. Skelly was destroying the skeletons pretty easily and motes were appearing one after another and were sucked in by him, he was basically hitting them through their weakest point which was their skill. The easiest ones for him were the ones crawling on the floor and were his first targets, he would stomp on their skull and be done with them. As for those that lost an arm were slightly trickier, they can actually swing their fist with no intention of defending and do a lot of damage. Skelly dodged their swing, his opponent was completely open and they were quick destroyed since the other skeletons didn't have a chance to actually defend itself.
John had passed out after eating, it was actually a long day it would had been surprising if he didn't had passed out of exhaustion while fighting earlier on. Skelly picked him up and put him inside one of the opened coffins that was closest to him. Skelly went to close the door of the Mausoleum and quick locked the doors inside, the door could only be locked from the inside. The bones of his opponents were littered on the floor close to the entrance. He started piling them up together on the floor, and started to once again look into the pile for bones that he liked and began make a trash pile and his own pile. He started to remove some bones and started to replace them to the other bones he liked better.
The room was completely dark after he closed the door, but he can actually see in the dark as if it were the middle of the day. After having a closer look at the room, the room they were in was pretty big, it had a lot space inside. There is a total of ten coffins in the room, where there was five coffins on each side. The coffins were separated by marble columns. These coffins were high quality coffins, they were made of expensive wood and gold trimmings. The bedding of these coffins were stuffed with high-quality cotton and feathers with a silk fabric that keeps it all together.
He started patrolling around the room, he started looking through the room, he found that the Mausoleum had a chapel, at the end of the room there was a door that leads to it. The room was empty, he was looking around but didn't found anything. He rubbed against the altar and it moved slight move to the side. When he looked around the floor there were actually scratch marks on the floor. The floor looked like the altar had been moved multiple times, the scratch might be from the wood rubbing against the ceramic tile that the floor was made off. After pushing the Altar, there was a hidden trap door where the altar was previously at.
He opened the trap door and there was ladder leading down. Skelly didn't hesitate and went down the ladder! When he went to floor underneath he found a set of diverging tunnels. He kept going straight to the middle tunnel, the tunnel was actually full of booby traps, when he stepped at the tiles on the floor it triggered the mechanism and bolts started flying by him and through him. He didn't really sustain any damage, as the main intent of the room was to poison any unintended guests. He kept walking through the tunnel and found a room.
The room was a Laboratory, it was filled with different kinds of empty vials, on one of the shelves. The room had a couple tables and chairs in the room. It looks like it has been abandoned for many centuries, just by looking at the amount of dust and cobwebs that were scattered through the room. The room also had a small library with a couple bookcases filled with different kinds of books of different sizes and colors. He went back through the corridor and to the ladder to make sure his master was still okay since there was. He returned back to the room where his master was! He was still laying there completely asleep.
Underneath the chapel, there was a skeleton that was patrolling the tunnels, he had been patrolling those tunnels his whole life, he had died there for a couple centuries and had awakened not long ago. When he saw Skelly climbing up the ladder and closing the trap door behind, he wanted to destroy him, 'he had the audacity to invade his domain!' The skeleton following Skelly and started climbing the ladder as well and opened the Trap door.
