Skelly heard some noises coming out of the Chapel, the noise he heard was actually from the Chapel. When he went there to see what happened the trap door was opened and there was a figure in front of him. There was a white skeleton, dressed with a worn down early 1800's suit. His eyes were glowing a scarlet red. "My name is Sir Van Greyoak, what are you doing desecrating this holy place?" Sir Van said with a raspy metallic voice.
Skelly politely tried to resolved the situation, this was the first time one of the skeleton tried to approach him "Well sir, we didn't mean to intrude this place, my master is resting here over night, we'll leave then". Sir Van started walk toward Skelly "Once you intrude, there is no going back! What should be left are two bodies resting in this Mausoleum" said with a stubborn attitude, there was no way to change his mind otherwise.
Skelly and Van began their fight, they were equally matched, the were exchanging punches one after their other. Each effectively defending against each other. "Sir are we going to continue fighting, or is there any way to solve this problem" but Van wasn't listening to what he was saying and continued fighting him. They continued engaging against each other for hours, some of the bones were cracked, chipped or broken.
Van changed his tactics, and went all in on his attack, Skelly on the other hand decide to go with evasion to wait for his perfect chance to strike. Van wasn't aware of what was going on, he was charging forward and his rage was consuming him. Skelly evaded and hit and continued doing until he got punched once again by strong punch hitting him by rig cage and pushing him against a column and breaking down one of wooden coffins.
The sound of breaking wood had slightly awoken John "Shhh.... let me fucking sleep you assholes!", said despite being half-asleep, he also summoned his flame and unconsciously sent his flame flying toward Van, the flame had turned green and hit him, but it wasn't a direct hit the flame hit the floor close to and exploded corroding one of it's legs and arms. John quick fell asleep again. Van was so angry about what John had did and started jumping with one of his legs toward John. Skelly began standing up and saw that it was awkwardly going toward his master. Skelly sneaked behind Van and hit him on the neck, decapitating Van head off.
A whole bunch of motes come out of Van and were absorbed by Skelly and his eyes had changed from deep red to a scarlet and then to dark-reddish orange color. Skelly began to remember stuff about his past-life. He was a very successful knight in the Kingdom of Avalon, he used to go by the name Lucas Valkyson. He had reincarnated from a world where ether was already actively used for thousand of years, he on the other hand was successful not because of magic, but because he was a non-magical knight, he was able to his raw strength and defeated it the man's worst enemy, the demon king. The demon king being cornered actually cursed him before dying, killing him as a result as well.
Remembering those memories, he realized that he used to be Swordmaster at his prime. He noticed that most of his memories and experience had vanished over time and the possibility of those memories returning was uncertain at the moment. His sword skills were returned, but they were reset back to Stage 1, he can now use some skills but other skill he know can't be used, but once he equips a weapon and if his swordsmanship increases they will surely be unlocked.
There was actually a loot box and a purple amethyst on the floor, he picked the both up and decided not to open them up his current master was this kid in front of him, he didn't know if this kid would punish him if he open those rewards himself. When he touch, the purple amethyst the crystal shattered into dust and went through into his skull. He has had actually learned a skill learn ether infusion, which let him manipulate the ambient and infuse it into one of his weapon.
He took a couple of Vans bones and replaced some of his that were completely shattered. Then move one to his pile that were at the entrance of the Mausoleum, to put healthier bones and replace those that were too damage. Some of his started healing as well, and Skelly was unwilling to change them away.
Rays of light started going through the stained glass windows that were in the Mausoleum, an array of different colors started appearing on the floor and John started to wake up. John stood up confused as he was once again on a coffin, but his focus was quickly shifted to the beautiful array of colors that descended to the giving a majestic view. John was quickly amazed by the view and stood up to watch it even closer.
Skelly walked to John with a lootbox on his hands. John was surprised got excited when he saw the lootbox, but the saw Skelly bones slightly cracked and changed his mind. When John was given the loot box he gave it back to him and told him "Buddy, you earned it, it's yours so hurry and open it up." Skelly opened up the lootbox and a opaque grey sword appeared in front of him with a sheath and a sword belt. Skelly quickly equipped the sword belt and put the sheath on the belt and tested his new sword by giving it a couple swings.
John looked at Skelly and asked him "Hey Skelly do you really know how to wield a sword?" and Skelly quickly nodded. John was a little confused, 'It is obvious that I don't know anything about Skelly at all, and there isn't a way to communicate back and forth at the moment.' In the end, John wasn't worried about Skelly at all, since he follows his word to the very end.
