"Hmm, sure enough, Ethereal what could that possibly mean?" - Joseph was lost in thought as he walked through the very wide and long corridors of his family's manor. He was still not entirely sure what his family did, being only 5 years of age it was very unlikely they would inform him of anything.
As Joseph was still walking absent minded, a maid could be seen walking towards him with a more than normal walking pace, it seemed she was in a bit of a rush and but she did not want to seem unladylike by running through the manor, unfortunately for both the maid and for Joseph they collided upon reaching the corner of the corridor.
Startled and unprepared by the collision, Joseph fell backwards towards a wall and the floor meanwhile the maid tripped and fell directly to the floor sending her mistresses clothes flying across the floor. As she looked up for a moment, she noticed the family's young master hitting his back against the wall, the scene horrifying her very existence that was the young master and now his been injured because of their collision.
The maid soon got up and rushed towards the young master Joseph and noticed he had fainted quite possibly due to the shock of suddenly having his tiny body hitting a wall from their collision. As she got closer and checked the young master's condition, she breathed a sigh of relief he was fine aside from being unconscious.
Although all maids and guards within the family's manor possessed a variety of healing spells in the event a member of the family would require aid, this maid in particular was still undergoing her training and was not entirely confident with her magic quite yet and having the young master be injured in such a way was starting to leave a mark of trauma on her young mind.
She quickly picked him up and rushed towards her mistresses room carrying the young master in her arms. As they left rather quickly, the maid had missed out on seeing something noteworthy, where her young master had fallen, it seemed as if his body had been embedded within the wall.
Upon reaching her mistresses room, she charged through the door crying out her eyes out. -"Mistress, please forgive me, I... I... collided with the young master on my way here and now his asleep" - The maid tried her best to control herself but she could not.
"SON" - Mary upon hearing the maid, rushed towards the two of them and took Joseph into her arms to do a motherly check on him and make sure he was all right and there was no issues. Mary's loud scream startled the family members in one of the meeting rooms nearby and rushed into see what had happened.
When they entered, they stumbled upon the scene of both the maid and Mary both hysterically crying, while Mary was holding onto her son. Filled with concern and anger that something may have occurred to their grandson, Mary's grandfather and grandmother both rushed towards Mary to get a better understanding of the situation.
Upon hearing the incident that occurred, Mary's father in law Thedius Fallenwind could be seen with a seething rage boiling up as he stared towards the maid and as he was about to erupt and lash out a loud noise could be heard -*BUUURP!*
As the family suddenly heard the noise, they quickly looked to the source and shockingly it had come from Joseph.
As the family started to wonder what happened they could hear a soft voice carrying a conversation all by himself.
"That meal was delicious, the bacon, the egg, I would like another meal please"- While unconscious, Joseph started to suddenly talk about a meal he had had in his previous world. The family quickly realized the young boy was sleep talking about food and all started laughing with happiness.
He was all right, and it seemed he was simply dreaming of food.
While it may be a different world, one of magic and technology combined with all manner of strange beasts similar types of food could be found, hence the reason nobody found it odd when Joseph started talking about bacon and egg meal.
Several hours later, Thedius had commanded the maid to take him where the incident had occurred, to inspect the scene, as they both arrived they were both shocked to find an indentation on the wall and the floor in the shape of Joseph as if on the fall, he had himself embedded into the stone wall before them.
With a casual wave of a hand, Thedius had removed all the evidence and returned the wall to normal, he turned to the maid and said - "Do not breathe a word of what you just witnessed or it will be your last, do you understand me?" To add on to the threat, Thedius glared at the poor maid and she understood her life would be over if she spoke a word of what she had just witnessed.
"You will be in charge of looking after the young master from now on, and keep me informed of any changes that occur around him" - With that said, Thedius returned to his study to go over some books of unknown origin.
He had to see what kind of magic his grandson could have possibly casted, did he do it instinctively?
Was he aware of what he had done? These questions and more swirled around in the mind of Thedius trying to get a better understanding, he even tried casting some magic spells that dabbled in divining the future but the result was the same nothingness, to which there were several options that came to mind.
The options were simple but the repercussions could be severe:
1. His inferior ability in the magic related to the future had caused him to fail.
2. His grandson Joseph had no future to speak off, leading to a very short life span.
3. Someone or something very powerful was protecting his grandson.
The more Thedius thought about the options he had come up with, he quickly dismissed the second and third options as ludicrous, it had to be his inferior skill, it just had to be.
Seemingly having made himself believe in his inferior skill with the magic to divine the future, Thedius returned to his room and laid beside his wife, hoping nothing wrong would happen to his grandson.

The act of divining into Joseph's future had alerted the system, this would have caused the System's defensive protocols to have been activated, exterminating any threat to the Host during this period of time of weakness.
The System was not just to make Joseph the greatest merchant known throughout the multiverse, but to also ensure his survival during periods of weakness such as his rebirth.
