Chereads / Unbridled / Chapter 18 - 17

Chapter 18 - 17

Chun opened the letter handed by her butler. The letter came from her father, Shenin. It told her not to go home this winter season because his uncle from Phoenix continent would be staying at the mansion. Even though it's illogical to see a King leaving their own kingdom but Zeno could do it because he's that 'incredible', dismissing his duties to the person who he trusted the most, his mother, Chun's grandmother.

The most avoided matter of Shenin occured and he didn't like this situation, when he couldn't control the outcome.

Shenin wished Chun to be healthy and always stay out of trouble, and that was the end of the letter.

The silver haired young man sighed inwardly and folded the letter.

"Did you prepare my dinner, Art?"

The butler thought that his young master would discussed about the trouble she caused but unexpectedly she just asked for her food, not finding anything unusual on her as she lazily smiled and with a carefree manner played with her silver white hair.

"Young lord, you need to be mature sometimes. You're turning 18 this upcoming month and you're not acting up on your own age," Art blurted his opinion that made Chun's carefree manner disappear.

The room lowered few degrees as she gazed at her butler with her apathetic eyes, "It's better for you to mind your own business, Art."

Suddenly she beamed and hurried the butler for her food, like what happened earlier did not occurred.

Art liked that real Chun, the young master who he knew well. They were connected through their soul so he knew what was Chun's feeling as well as Chun knowing his. It's a mutual link between them, a contract that they shall abide until their last breath.

The butler obliged and the young master once again enjoyed her food.

Sereign Continent

Lucraine Country, Ricolo City

At the palace of the King in the throne room, the first general reported his findings about the hidden sect which was the Skywave sect who had the object that the King wanted to retrieve, now it was stolen by an unknown thief, in an unknown location.

Unanticipatedly, the King wasn't angry about the failed mission. He just chuckled with a dark glint on his eyes, "General Xi Chen, I wanted to share an imperial secret."

After the discussion, Xi Chen was silent until Ryo caught up with him outside the palace gates.

"What did the King said? Does we get dicredited or get a punishment for not able to retrieve a precious item?" Ryo asked as he observed the quiet general.

Xi Chen with his usual indifferent face glanced at Ryo and ignored him.

"Really? Ignoring me again if you wanted to avoid answering my question!" Ryo exclaimed, not liking about his friend hiding secrets from him.

"It's an imperial secret," just that sentence made the nosy Ryo shut up.

King Sewan was left alone on his throne while covering his face with his hand as he laughed. His middle-age face morphed into a sadistic expression as it turned suddenly into a man with a handsome face, his blonde long hair cascaded on his back as he removed his crown and put it on the chair and he stood up.

His tantalizing blue eyes was like the ocean waves, it drew ones in. Aurumn, the deity of war and strategy smirked as he went to the balcony of his throne room and gazed down at the dazzling city lights of the night. It was beautiful to see yet danger lurks in.

An upcoming event that could either lead to disaster or salvation may arise on this world once again. And may history repeats itself.

Aurumn smiled at the unaware people below.

A servant announced the arrival of the King of Phoenix continent from outside as Aurumn frowned and shifted back to the middle-age King Sewan.

"Guide them to the receiving hall and prepare our most lavish treats," King Sewan replied as he fixed his crown on his head and proceeded to walk to the receiving hall with his entourage.

Zeno was a very handsome King in his appearance of a thirty-two years old man. His real age would not be mention as he was now at the Late realm approaching Immortal realm.

His signature flirty smile would be always plastered on his face as he winked at the beautiful servants on the palace, making them blush and bowed their heads in embarrassment.

"Your Majesty, can you act in formality? We are in another kingdom," His cousin and trusted adviser, whispered to him.

Zeno rolled his eyes to Sai and ignored him as they were being guided to the receiving hall.

After a moment of their arrival, King Sewan arrived.

"Greetings, King Zeno! Welcome to my humble abode," King Sewan greeted as he seated himself on the chair facing the other.

With his jovial smile, Zeno greeted back, "It's fantastic here in your palace compared to mine," he commented while looking at the beautiful maidservants around.

Zeno had many flings and loved to tease beauties but unfortunately this man was a bachelor, the only king who had no concubine neither wife. He was opposed to having a family yet because he had already nephews from his two younger brothers that which he could train and crown as a heir to the throne. Even though, he still enjoyed beauties.

Other than visiting his younger sister's family, he had another purpose to it. He was looking for a capable heir, his five nephews back in the Kingdom were all capable for the throne but the problem was they weren't interested on managing the Kingdom, they were more of a adventurer if not, they were into business.

His options were about to run off pertaining to these nephews and was about to force Daigo, his younger brother's eldest son who had both proficiency on cultivation and management but was more interested on being a mercenary. He had more capabilities on being his heir but, still no worries he had a long life span and he had more options to go with now.

Zeno discovered it two months ago when a spy he positioned on the dark lands stated that there was a traitor within his territory, exchanging informations with the demons. Because of this situation, his mother Saea who was exchanging letters to Chun (but the letters were addresed to Shenin for some reasons) was suspected by the Kingdom as the traitor.

They were unaware that Saea was contacting the Shuho household so she was locked down on her palace until Zeno found that she was just exchanging letters to the Shuho household and that he had existing two nephews.

He invited them to his palace when the both of them were travelling in Phoenix continent and things happened, they blurted out about their favorite younger brother who they wanted to meet their uncle, too but finally shutted off when they realized the warnings of their father.

They suddenly declined about staying on the palace, wanting to 'continue' their outdoor training.

And because of curiosity, Zeno decided to visit the Shuho household.

After their pleasantries and refusing to stay on the place of King Sewan had prepared, Zeno left and directed his carriage towards the said household.

At the Shuho Household.

The head of the household was punishing his two sons, the eldest son was Osen and the younger was Canis.

They were both kneeling as their father would used his manipulation power to restrain their movements.

Canis had his scared look while Osen was lazy to show any emotions, he's tired from being pulled here by Lucil and he had no intention to defend himself because he knew his mistake.

Exposing their younger brother/sister could endanger her life and Osen was regretting for being that kind of fool so he was masking his guilty self with a blank look.

"F-father! We're sorry, we forgot about your warnings and we thought that uncle knew about us---" Canis was cutted off by his father's shout.

"Fool! Don't open your mouth and make yourselves unrepentable!"

As Shenin was about to start another series of sermons, Lucil went in with his graceful manner and stated that the King of Phoenix continent was here.

Shenin cursed and looked angrily at the two.

"Fixed yourselves and greet your uncle first! I'll be joining later," their father dismissed them.

Lucil opened the door for Osen and Canis and closed it when they were outside.

"Master, is it good to welcome the King of Phoenix continent?" The right hand asked.

"We cannot resist anymore as he will find it more suspicious. He just knew that I cutted connections with them as I had an disagreement with the former Phoenix King about Kiria," Shenin uttered as he massaged his forehead. Not liking the situation a bit.

Lucil did not ask anymore and prepared a chamomile tea of his master to cool off his aching head.

At Mountain Qi,

"The Phoenixian oracle is nearing," Axec stated as he looked at the Crystal stone that predicted the future events.

'Creator, I hope you know this'
