Nora didn't have the time to say something more before she was kicked in the bathroom by her sis. She couldn't even meet Daisy and her son because her stench would spread in the room, or so Millie said. 'What an ungrateful brat... Not that I'm against a good shower, but still...'
She put her newly found clothes on the sink cabinet before she undressed herself and went under the hot water. She sighed, happy to watch all the blood on her body disappear. She washed herself quickly before going out. Wrapped in a towel, she took another one to dry her hair. She hummed a little song, feeling more refreshed than ever since she woke up.
Those zombies didn't let her relax at all.
After a few minutes, she finally took the borrowed clothes and started to get dressed. As she already guessed, the clothes were a bit too big for her. 'Never mind, I'll bear with it. Eh, a mirror ?'
She went to look at her face and what she saw was familiar but with some differencies.
She still had the same dark hair, the same brown eyes. But her skin was paler than before. Not that she had a tanned or dark skin to begin with, but at least there was a touch of pink on her cheeks and her lips.
She now had a real white skin, like an unpainted porcelain doll. Awkwardly, it gave her an unreal air around her.
Like she really wasn't alive anymore.
She gulped loudly before she looked away. It was time for her to go out.
She pushed the bathroom door and went out. Her sister jumped right into her arms, wailing. Or laughing. Nora just couldn't figure what was the sound produced, but she knew Millie needed a hug, so she let her sister snug as much as she wanted.
"I missed you, I missed you, I missed you !"
She looked up and inspected Nora's face.
"You don't look like a zombie, you know. You're pale but not like the "I'm gonna eat you" skin. You've got a less trivial face, but I'm still cuter."
"And the hug is over. Can you introduce me to your new roommates ?"
"Sure !"
A few steps and Nora found herself before the most beautiful woman she's ever met.
Daisy was a tall young woman, with short wavy platinum hair. Her green eyes reflected her gentle nature and even if she looked a little scared, her lips were curved in a small smile.
But the tears in her eyes were hard to ignore. Nora was a new factor in a dangerous situation, after all. Possibly a monster. And she needed to protect her child she was holding in her arms.
Nora wasn't used to this. She had a smaller stature, after all, not the kind people would be scared of.
"You must be Daisy. Nice to meet you, I'm Nora."
"Y-yes... Hi..."
She was definitely taller, but she really looked like a little mouse, right now. Millie saw this and sat next to her.
"Don't worry, Nora won't do anything to you or Shawn. I'll kick her in the bathroom if you're too uneasy."
Black lines appeared on Nora's face. 'Am I really her sister ? She just gave up on me, no ?'
Daisy slowly shook her head.
"No, I... I'm not good with people in general... And there is the... I..."
It seemed like she would start to cry at any moment. Millie turned to look at her sister, full of resentment. Nora's face went uglier. 'Can't you be a bit less attracted to beautiful things for once ?!' Speachless, she looked around, uncomfortable. Her eyes stopped on the infusion stand she left next to the door. She grabbed it and put it next to Daisy.
"If I do something, don't hesitate."
Daisy and Millie stared blankly at her. 'What ? Dad always said that when someone is scared, we need to give him a way to feel reassured... Was I wrong ?'
Millie looked at her, then at the infusion stand, and again at her.
"Okay. If you turn into a zombie, as your little sister, I'll personally finish you off !"
Before the happy tone Millie used, Nora was flabbergasted. 'I know I just said it but... Can't you be sad over this ? Where is the "I missed you" from earlier ?! Have some hesitation for your sister, you traitor !'
