Chapter 1 - The accident

Walking in the crowded street, Nora, going back home from the college, tried to find her ringing phone in her jean's pockets. The little woman wasn't a great beauty, but she was easily considered as cute. She had long dark hair, large brown eyes which, at the time being, showed her irritation. Grumbling through her teeth, she finally got it and press the call button.

"Hello sis, are you in your room ?"

"Not quite, Millie, I'm still on the way. So, what's up ?"

"Nothing much, Dad's working, mom is busy doing... I got no idea what she's doing. And I just finished my piano lessons. And I suck at it. I mean, why didn't you stop me when I started ?"

"Believe me, I tried. Those sounds you produce... Ugh, my ears still remembers."

"Well, I know that now. Say, are you really gonna stay in this dorm ? There is only an hour to our house with the driver."

"To come and go every day like this ? No thanks. Plus, I am satisfied with my roommates. They're gentle girls who don't take me as their purse and they don't know dad is a politician. So, I'm good."

"If you say so..."

"If you feel lonely, maybe you..."

Nora couldn't finish her sentence before she perceived the red fiery car before her. In one second, she saw the face of the person driving. It was when she was struck she realised her own cousin Jess was behind the wheel with a cold expression. Her head hit the floor, and everything became black.
