Jacob opened the door of the car and carried his bag into the tall building. He was about to reach the elevator when he saw someone familiar. He stopped and narrowed his eyes to see clearer who the person was.
"Mei Li?" he asked, waiting for that person to get closer.
The woman approached him, holding her bag tightly. She was a bit flustered because she just arrived from the arport and almost got cheated by a man who claimed to be a taxi driver. Luckily she notice his abnormal behaviour before she got into the vehicle or she ould not know where she would be ended up at.
So scary.
"Is everything alright?" he asked when he saw how pale her face was.
"Yes. I am alright," she replied after taking a deep breath to calm down. The sight of someone she knew made her feel safe and hence she quickly went to him without thinking. She checked the time and thought it was better for her to join him to meet the couple.
