Why We Slay Dragons
Far from Elven and Human settlements, The Dragons lived in peace.
Evil, Weapons, ...War, these things did not exist.
The magical races lived in harmony, however, humans are greedy.
They convinced the Elves to attack.
The Dragon Races' magic stemmed from the draconite they cultivated within their bodies, When they died these mystical gems naturally were left behind, but Dragons were a long lived race, and humans...were not that patient. Their combined force with the High Elves fell upon the Valley of Dragons like a tremendous wave, The Dragons resisted but their power was nothing before the strength of Man and Elves.
Blood rained from the sky as the Dragons fell, and as they died a great change overcame the world, Dragons were closely connected to the land, Their blood and pain caused the land to split, A great wail rose from the pit, magma bubbled up from the deepest recesses of the planets core, and the dying dragons rose again, The Fallen, Encased in armor of magma, breathing fire, with eyes as red as blood and madness in their minds, The Elves were the first to turn and flee, and the Humans were close behind, but the horror was only just beginning.
