A few months later.
In a secluded area that is hidden by some spells, inside a small stone cabin, Ra sat with Horus and Nephthys around a wooden table.
Ra had his eyes closed, Nephthys was grinding a blade while Horus was reporting, "This is the thirtieth city that got destroyed, and each one was done in a unique way."
Nephthys said without shifting her focus from the blade, "All done without the intervention of a god, or it seems like that from the outside. We cannot be certain unless we go outside-"
"You already know the answer to that suggestion," Ra snapped his eyes open, "and the answer is no."
"We need to get intel!" Horus shouted. "Getting inaccurate news from her birds isn't going to win this war against Set and you know that, old man!"
Finally, Nephthys lifted her head and stared at Horus with interest. She thought, 'Interesting, he kept his cool all this time and only snapped now. Honestly, I thought he would be creating problems just after two days. Two Pharaohs under the same roof, with one being way too rash... Let's see how Ra responds to this.'
Ra looked at Horus in a unnerving calmness and replied, "It does not take a genius to guess that Set is the one instigating these mortal wars. Furthermore, it is crystal clear that it is a trap to get us out of our hiding."
He stood up and continued, "I do not like being with you too, child, and I find it very unbearable to explain these obvious things. However, circumstances make it a necessity to maintain a low profile until Set gets bored."
Contrary to Ra's mental state, Horus was feeling angry, restless, and annoyance at the old god before him, "Until Set gets bored? Can't you see that this is never going to happen? That maniac has infinite creativity when it comes to inflicting pain on people, so tell me, old fool, how does someone like this get bored?"
"Even the most creative minds hit a wall after some time has passed. It is a trap, and you know that very well. If you have suddenly broke through in your cultivation and can defeat Set, then please, tell us!"
"Weren't you supposed to be the all-powerful King of the gods? What happened to all that power? Or was it just talk and boasts?"
"Oh please! Set has the body of my father's clone, you can't even pierce his skin. The only advantage you may have on him is your Divine Eye, but even that proved useless against him, so pipe down and let me formulate my plans IN PEACE!"
Unable to contain his anger anymore, Horus lunged at Ra, but he hit a golden, armored wing half-way though.
Nephthys had acted as fast as she could to prevent the clash between the two. She pushed Horus back and addressed them, "Listen well, you two, stop acting like spoiled children. Horus, Ra is right; it is a trap to lure us out and we can't charge into it stupidly. Ra, Horus is also right, Set has endless ideas when it comes to torture and doing evil, so whatever plan you're concocting, end them fast.
"Set is playing with mortals now, but soon enough he'll start with the gods, whether they are minor or major ones. And eventually, he will find this place, and when that happens, we would have already lost. Our only advantage now is to remain united; the last thing we want is in-fighting."
Ra took a deep breath, sat down, and continued his meditation. However, Horus wasn't convinced and darted out of the house before anyone could stop him.
He left the only protection that he had, not knowing that he walked right into Set's palm.
