Osiris was looking the same as always: black-green skin, black eyes filled with life-force, coupled with a pharaoh's beard and a majestic but warm aura around him. He wore the Atef crown on his bald head and was bare-chested, showing his slim, muscular body. From below, he wore the ancient Egyptian garbs for pharaohs, but with a lot more of decorations on them too.
Once he sat down on his throne, he turned silent and didn't say another word, and I was thankful for that. A few attendants came and placed a luxurious chair besides Osiris' golden throne. I sat down and the attendants left quickly after bowing down.
Just when I was getting bored and was starting to consider whether or not should I get on with my plan, someone announced loudly, "Queen Isis, Prince Horus, and Lady Nephthys have arrived!"
Immediately after that, two ladies with tall black hair and beautiful features and each wearing a white dress, followed by a dark-skinned, bald young man with a bit make-up around his left eye, approached us and bowed slightly to my brother.
After they straightened from their bow, Isis glared at me fiercely and said, "Hmph!"
I smiled at her and said, "Good to see you too, my good-for-nothing, arrogant, Queen of Egypt, of a sister. It's been a long time."
Isis ignored me and said to Osiris, "I thought you didn't allow scoundrels to your birthday party, dear."
"Come now, sis, there's no need to talk about yourself like that in front of everyone present; after all you are the almighty Queen, you should have some self-respect to yourself," I smirked. "And speaking of the Queen, you should make the most of your time as a queen because, soon, I'm afraid you'll just become like us, a god of Egypt. But then again..."
She didn't let me continue when suddenly her energy was riled up and she shouted with anger, "Why you...!"
I smiled as everything was going on as I wanted it to go, then I also flared my own energy and said, "Now now, sis, hold your horses. You are far away from me when it comes to strength so you shouldn't be this rash. Sigh, honestly, how many times do I have to teach you proper manners."
Indeed, my energy was far more stronger than hers since I have the energy of two bodies, mine and that of the boy. She was instantly suppressed and couldn't even move under such pressure when Osiris finally intervened.
He silent till now and was watching us with a smile on his face. While the smile was still present, he waved his hand and an energy flared u from him, thus negating the pressure on Isis.
"That's enough, you two. You're gods and you still act like children. Furthermore, we only get to see each other after a long period of time passes, and yet, you always get to ruin the mood."
He sighed while I said, "Oh don't take it to heart, brother. I was just teasing our sister, considering that her temper is still the same as always."
Osiris shook his head and no longer said anything. Isis muttered another "Hmph" and sat besides her husband. I winked at Horus and said, "How's our new Pharaoh? Nervous?"
"Yeah, a little bit. This is a huge responsibility," he replied.
"Nah, it's easy. Your good-for-nothing mother had been ruling alongside your father for years, and everything is still alright, isn't it?"
As you might have imagined, my sister started shouting in anger again while Osiris sighed once again and shook his head. Nephthys, who was silent all the time, finally addressed me, "That's enough, Set. Stop teasing Isis."
I turned towards her and said in a dull tone, "Ah, my dear wife. Took you long enough to notice your husband. Tell me, did you miss me?"
"Of course I did, dear. When are you going to head home? About a thousand years from now, I suppose?" she replied while smiling. Ah, her devilish smile. Out of all my siblings, only Nephthys was able to keep up with my cunning.
But, she was still not at my level as I said to her, "Why, immediately after this party."
Her expression changed but I no longer gave her much thought as I stood up and shouted, "Now, gods and goddesses of Egypt, since it is the birthday of my older brother, I, Set, have prepared a marvelous gift!"
