Chapter 78 - Osiris' death

"Now, gods and goddesses of Egypt, since it is the birthday of my older brother, I, Set, have prepared a marvelous gift!"

Everyone looked at me strangely and I could even see the suspicion in their eyes. Now don't just look at me as being one of the most famous gods around, I don't have time to prepare boring gifts for birthday parties and all the stuff. I am only doing this because it's fun to see the stupefied looks on everyone's faces when I reach the heat of the plan, which started at that moment.

The tomb I have been preparing appeared in front of Osiris and I said, "This cradle was made of a special type of wood that preserves the looks of a person."

"What kind of cradle is this? Hmph! It's clearly a tomb!" Isis said with a scowl.

"Ah, you are mistaken, Sis. I made this gift specifically for my dear brother to let him stay young for the years to come. Could it be that you want Osiris to look like a sick old man?" I replied with a devious smile.

"Wha-what... I-I..." she didn't know how to reply.

I continued, "Oh I get it, you want to use it too. Well, considering how generous our brother is, I am sure that he would lend it to you to preserve your ugly face. And perhaps a miracle would happen and maybe, just maybe, don't raise your hopes, you would look a little prettier. But who am I kidding, you'll remain ugly no matter what you do."

I smirked as I waited for her to burst in anger, but to my surprise, she didn't say a word as Osiris stood up and walked to me. Just when I thought that I over-did it a little, and this would affect my plan, Osiris started checking the 'cradle'.

"Hmmm... It looks nice, may I try it now?" he said. I sighed in relief and replied, "You are the Pharaoh, you don't need my permission."

Osiris nodded as he opened the tomb and stepped into it. Just when he did that, I revealed the most devious smile in my entire life and sealed the tomb.

Then, three wind swords condensed from thin air and slashed into the tomb, cutting my brother's body to pieces. Then, a blaze appeared and pushed the tomb into the waters of The Nile.

Don't look at The Nile as a simple river. No one, except Ra and a few of the water element users, can step into it. Heck, they can't even fly over it.

All of these actions happened in mere moments, and before anyone could even react, I had killed Osiris!
