Chapter 1 - Chapter 1 - The Kidnapping

My legs shivered, why was I here?

It was only moments before I was at home, lounging on my sofa watching a randomly picked drama that my heart had finally been captured by. And then...

I gulped, trying not to sob. Holding every cell of myself from spilling over the floor.

"Can you tell me why you bought me here?", I sniffed looking at the man who sat in the corner, knees spread with a look of annoyance on his face. His face was barely visible behind his messy tousled hair.

I waited, throat dry staring at him. No answer. I waited abit longer. No answer.

Swallowing any inch of pride i had left, I asked again.

"Why-", before the sentence had barely left my mouth something fast came flying at me, missing my head by a bare centimeter. And when I caught sight of it, a shriek escaped me.

A knife, a long one. It carved into the wall behind my head that was covered in damp paper. It was the same one that threatened my family when I was held hostage right in front of them.

Suddenly I was relieved my father hadn't moved any closer. I was glad non of them did.

"Next time, it'll be your head. So shut the fuck up!", I jumped clamping my mouth shut.

Asking myself again, Why was I here?

His phone went off and I heard him mutter, "finally", under his breath.

"In the room", he replied quick before the person the other line could murmur.

"Perfect", I hadn't realised the phone was on speaker until I heard that. I started shivering again not realising I had stopped. The person on the other line must be the reason why I'm here.

He cutt off the line.

"You'll get your answers now", the man stood, he smiled at me, not warmly more sadistic than inviting. His tall height intimidating the entire room, that he bent his back having to stand in.

And he left, I felt colder inside when the words left his mouth. I shut my eyes and the door closed off, lowering my head on my knees.

I wanted answers, but after those words I'd rather do without them.

The door opened again. I didn't lift my head, only shivered more as I wished I wasn't there.

Footsteps followed, I still kept my head down.

The person stopped right in front of me. I knew because my eyes widely stared at the floor.

Black. That was the colour of his shoes. The spiky ones that middle aged men wore when going to work. They made it easy to imagine his face but what if he didn't look like that. What if he was monster.

I didn't want to see at least I felt like I didn't but my head snapped up when he crouched down in front of me.

Familiar, is all I could think of as the brown eyes met shining green eyes. That held a knowing look. I swallowed dry spit.

"Long time no see, Meg".
