Waking up to the sun shining in through a window in her room, Sofie narrowed her eyes as she glared deadly at the window. Yesterday, she was too tired and forgot to pull the curtains so the light wouldn't shine in her face first thing in the morning. Her dream of sleepy a long time for the day as she had no fixed schedule, was now ruined by the sun.
Sighing in sadness, Sofie rolled to the other side to dodge the rays of sunlight coming in through the window.
What met her was a cute bunny plushie starring directly into her eyes, Sofie almost felt like the little bunny plushie in front of her starting to scold her for being lazy.
'You are a cultivator now! You cannot keep lazing around like this!' Sofie felt the bunny scolding her, as its small cute eyes saw through her.
"Argh! I got it, I got it! I will get up now, just don't look at me like that!" Yelling loudly, Sofie quickly sat up on her bed.
Sitting quietly on top of her bed with closed eyes, Sofie felt herself slowly dozing off, but just before she could re-enter dreamland a few rays of sunlight managed to make their way to her face and shine on her closed eyes annoying her enough to open them.
Looking around her room, Sofie saw the small eyes of the little plush bunny starring at her.
"O-okay, I-I will really get up this time!" Blushing slightly in guilt, Sofie jumped out of her bed and made her way to the closet to get dressed. Not really knowing how she managed to strip herself before entering bed yesterday.
Finding a pair of pants in the pile of clothes laying inside the closet, Sofie quickly put them on, followed by socks, a somewhat thin blouse and finally a thick blouse. At the moment there was not a need for anything else, as she was still flat like a board in that area.
Now dressed up, Sofie placed the plushies laying on her bed, which was not laying everywhere disorderly because of her getting up earlier, in a formation around the area she was going to sleep like they were before she woke up.
With everything in order, Sofie opened the door to her room and stepped outside into the passage of the house leading to the other rooms in the house where Xiao Yao and Yue Wan lived, a toilet and finally a small living room at the end of the passage to the right, with a door outside at the end of the left side.
Looking around, she quickly saw that none of the other doors were open yet. Meaning both Xiao Yao and Yue Wan was still asleep.
Not wanting to wake them up, Sofie quietly made her way to the toilet.
…
*flush*
Having completed her morning business, Sofie felt a small smile creep up on her lips as she slowly made her way outside the entrance to the house.
Sofie really wanted to know whether the dining hall was open at this time of the day or not, so with nothing much in mind, Sofie made her way towards the dining hall getting hungry by each passing second.
The dining hall better be open! Or I will...! I will… I w…
Sofie had no clue as to what she would do if the dining hall was closed, but it was sure to be something incredibly dreadful and unbearably evil!
The entire sect would tremble before her… or something like that? Yes, people trembling definitely means it is something evil!
With that in mind, Sofie ever so slowly made her way towards the dining hall, trying her hardest to think up all sorts of 'evil' things she would do if the dining hall was not open yet.
…
The dining hall was luckily open, but the number of disciples entering and exiting it was almost close to no one at all.
"You escape the wrath of me today, dining hall!" Sofie muttered quietly to herself, as she looked towards the dining hall with a mischievous glint in her eyes.
Letting out a satisfied noise, Sofie made her way into the dining hall and like yesterday's breakfast, it was designed for people to go up and take a plate and fill it up with as much food as they possibly could. This would repeat again and again until you couldn't eat anymore.
Indeed, this kind of thing is perfect for me! Maybe I should find out what it is called? We never really had something like this back in River village…
Thinking this to herself, Sofie quickly sped up to the tables filled with all kinds of different food.
Grabbing a plate, Sofie quickly started building a small mountain on her plate.
The mountain on top of her plate was soon finished and Sofie let out a satisfied sounds while gazing at her masterpiece.
"Can you move a little to the side… Please?" A voice came from behind her and Sofie soon realized she was blocking the way to a sect favourite. The legendary pancakes.
Sofie herself used a few pancakes to finish her mountain top and had already tasted them yesterday. They were definitely deserving of being a sect favourite for breakfast!
"S-sorry, I will move right away." Quickly moving out of the way, Sofie looked around the dining hall for a place to sit and soon discovered someone she didn't expect to see.
"Yang Meng!" Calling out to the little fatty- dumpling with a mountain just as glorious as Sofie's in front of him, Sofie quickly sat down on a chair besides him.
"S-Sofie?! Y-you are here as well?" Yang Meng said in a surprised voice as he looked at Sofie, before turning his eyes towards the mountain of food in front of her no less glorious than his own. "Y-your mountain is quite splendid!"
"Yours as well, Yang Meng." Sofie said as she started examining the mountain Yang Meng had built and started comparing it to her own.
Both of them soon stopped examining the others mountain of food and looked at each other again and under a mutual understanding both of them began eating in harmony.
The disciples around them just starred speechlessly as they watched the two children looking no more than 10 years old devour a giant mountain of food each.
…
"I didn't think anyone other than me ate this well…"
"Hmm…? True, nobody at the sect could ever eat the same amount of food as me. You are indeed impressive Sofie!" Yang Meng said with admiration shinning in his eyes.
"You as well, Yang Meng. Worthy of being my rival!" Sofie said full of admiration as well, as she looked smilingly at Yang Meng.
"Rival…? Never mind that. Sofie, do you want to be my friend…?" Yang Meng looked a little confused at being called a rival, but quickly threw it to the side and asked her.
"Friend…?" Sofie said slightly confused, while tilting her head to side.
Could she be friends with her rival…? What did her big sister say when she talked about her rival? Even though they often fought each other, they still helped out one another and spend most of their time together as best friends.
Hmm… Did this mean that being a rival also meant being a friend?
Thinking so, Sofie turned around and smiled brilliantly at Yang Meng, who had grown a little anxious from waiting.
"Of course, I will be you friend!"
