After becoming friends with Yang Meng, both of them went back up to the tables filled with food and started building another mountain of food. Recommending some of the different food to each other from time to time.
Like this, the morning passed peacefully.
…
"Ah, Sofie! Are you free tomorrow?" Yang Meng asked Sofie who was walking back towards her home to train.
"Hm? Yes? I don't really have anything to do…" Sofie answered while tilting her head a little to the right looking confused, wondering what Yang Meng wanted.
"Great! How about we go and take a mission together at the mission hall then? You can take on more difficult missions with a team and also get more mission points." Yang Meng said as he expectantly looked at Sofie.
"O-okay… I also wanted to go to the mission hall at some point in the fut- WAIT, you can get more mission points from taking missions as a team!?" Sofie almost yelled loudly, as her mind processed that she would get more mission points.
Did this not mean she could get even more of the so-called spirit fruits!?
Thinking this, Sofie was full of happiness as she started looking forward to going on missions together with Yang Meng tomorrow.
"Y-yes you can?" Yang Meng answered somewhat confused as he looked at the energetic Sofie in front of him.
"Great, then see you tomorrow Yang Meng!" Waving goodbye, Sofie soon disappeared into the horizon. Leaving a confused Yang Meng behind.
"If you really wanted to go to the mission hall so badly, we could have just gone today…" Muttering quietly to himself, Yang Meng turned around and made his way back home as well.
…
Walking back to the house, Sofie discovered that the door to Xiao Yao's room was open, while the door to Yue Wan's room was still closed. Maybe she's a bad morning person?
Thinking about it, Sofie tried to look around the room to find a magic treasure called a clock, there was one almost everywhere and it was really useful to determine the time. All it needed to run was a little qi and a formation inside the clock made it so the qi it needed was absorbed from the surrounding. Meaning there was no need to replenish it at all.
Spotting the clock inside the living room, Sofie saw that it was already 10 in the morning… Maybe she should wake up Yue Wan?
The moment this thought appeared, Sofie quickly vanquished it as she remembered how much she would cling to her. Training would be next to impossible with her around!
With that in mind, Sofie made her way out of the house and entered the backyard.
…
"HAH!"
A loud sound could be heard the moment she entered the training ground, as an exhausted Xiao Yao training with a spear in hand showed up in front of her.
"Huh, Sofie, you are here to train as well?" Xiao Yao said as she stopped her training and picked up what looked like a small cup filled with water and drank some.
"Yes, I wanted to be able to cast the qi spell I chose yesterday at least once." Sofie said as she quickly made her way to a empty place on the small training ground.
"Hm… I see. Good luck then, I won't interrupt you anymore." Xiao Yao said as she started swinging her spear around again.
Sofie sat down on the ground and was about to start practicing the symbols of the [Conjure Fire Rabbit] qi spell, when she noticed the wind moving weirdly in the surroundings.
Looking around, Sofie saw the wind slowly gathering at the tip of Xiao Yao's spear. Making it faster and more deadly.
A weapon skill!
Sofie thought to herself, as she observed with full attention. Xiao Yao thrust forward with the spear. Directly going through one of the training dummies. The weapon skill was not as beautiful and complex as a qi spell like the one Sofie was trying to use, but it instead focused more on being effective. The sharpness of the spear alone was more than enough to amaze Sofie.
After all, to be able to pierce through a training dummy with a wooden spear, was nothing short of difficult. Yet, Xiao Yao had done so with ease.
Sofie felt a little regret over not getting a weapon skill, but the regret soon disappeared as she was reminded of the possibility's qi spells had.
Conjuring a fire rabbit was possible, so wouldn't I be able to conjure a bird, sheep and more in the future!?
Imagining herself surrounded by fluffy animals conjured from her fire qi, Sofie started practicing the individual symbols of the [Conjure Fire Rabbit] qi spell with even more energy.
Time passed and the small symbols made out of fire qi slowly started floating around everywhere int the training ground.
Xiao Yao was quite surprised at the number of symbols, but quickly ignored them and returned to practicing her weapon skill. Sometimes she passed through the symbols made of fire qi, causing them to collapse and disperse.
Sofie ignored the symbols Xiao Yao destroyed, as she was not trying to cast the qi spell and was just training the speed in which she formed the individual symbols of the qi spell.
Manipulating her fire qi, Sofie formed the final remaining symbol needed for the [Conjure Fire Rabbit] qi spell in under one second.
Letting out an exhausted breath, Sofie laid down exhaustedly on the ground.
The last two or so hours of training had completely drained all of the fire qi inside of her body and she would need at least a few hours of rest before she could resume her training again.
At the moment it was even hard for her to create a single symbol out of fire qi.
"Maybe I should get something to eat? It should be around lunch time by now." Talking quietly to herself, Sofie continued laying on the ground, as she turned to look in Xiao Yao's direction.
Xiao Yao was still training with her wooden spear. The only difference visible was the fine drops of sweat on her forehead and the several new holes in the poor training dummy in front of her.
*grumble*
Laying on the ground observing Xiao Yao for another few minutes, Sofie felt her stomach protesting and quickly stood up and walked towards Xiao Yao.
"Xiao Yao, do you want to go and get something to eat?" Sofie asked when she was a few meters away from her.
"Hm? Eat? Sure, I need a break anyways and I didn't get anything to eat in the morning either…" Hearing Sofie, Xiao Yao lowered her spear and answered her question as she slowly made her way in Sofie's direction.
"Great, we can go n-… Did you just say you hadn't eaten anything for breakfast!?!" hearing a positive answer, Sofie was about to drag Xiao Yao towards the dining hall until she heard the last part.
"Yes…?" Looking at the horror filled look Sofie was giving her, Xiao Yao just tilted her head slightly to the side and gave a somewhat confused answer.
"T-this is not good! Let's go immediately!" Sofie said as she forcefully started dragging Xiao Yao out of the training ground and towards the dining hall.
"W-wait a minute, Sofie- "Panicking, Xiao Yao did not manage to struggle free from Sofie's grip and was forcefully dragged to the dining hall.
