Sylvie's second trip to Draig's had truly gained the attention of the local Guilders and Knights who were interested in getting their own weapons enchanted, thanks to her debut with the enchanted sword showing that Draig was at the least capable, It was beyond their expectations which had not been high to begin with, watching the girl switch between her forms and her sword changed to the appropriate nature.
Those who had been hesitant to request an order had started charging to the Farm in hopes of being the first.
However the Vampire wasn't in the mood, he knew a lot about the history of this world but his knowledge of the modern day was near non existant other than the basics.
Draig was brought from his thoughts by the sound of another knock on his door, opening it up he saw Sylvie and standing next to her was a rather cold looking girl with glasses and short blue hair.
"Sylvie has brought her sister today" stated Sylvie looking at Draig.
Draig looked at Sylvie for a long moment before looking towards the woman next to her.
"Not doing custom orders right now" answered Draig intending to shut the door however the door did not close.
"What do you mean your not taking custom orders right now" asked the cold looking woman with a scathing look.
"I mean I have more pressing issues at the moment mortal" spat Draig narrowing his eyes.
"Sister, your promised Sylvie you would be nice" said Sylvie blankly.
The woman sighed before speaking again.
"What is it that has you so concerned that you can't do your primary function" asked the woman though her tone and words showed there was no effort into niceties.
"You may leave now" stated Draig forcing his door closed this time.
However before he could even take two steps he heard a familiar knocking again.
"What is it" asked Draig opening the door to find Sylvie and her apparent sister standing there.
"How can I help you solve your problem so you can enchant my armor" asked the woman with a sour face.
"I am a bit ignorant so to speak, I wish to find someone who can explain more of the world to me and fill in the gaps in my knowledge" explained Draig deciding to take a chance.
"Sylvie's sister can teach you" stated Sylvie quickly.
The woman beside Sylvie seemed to tense before letting her shoulders sag.
"If you can enchant my armor then I am willing to teach you about anything you want to know" sighed the woman.
"If you can teach me what I need then I will do it" stated Draig, he may have put on an act in the town but he wasn't going to just trust one of these mortals
The two had come to an agreement and thus Draig's biggest concern had been alleviated, the two had decided to begin on the next day so they could get a good start.
For the rest of that day Draig mulled about unsure of what he should really be doing, this feeling made him antsy as he had still made no progress in strengthening his Vampire traits but it was during these moments that Dracule's words from his time training the previous year seemed to echo in Draig's head.
'Your a Vampire'
'Your thrive on the Essence of the living'
'If you wish to grow you must consume their crimson essence'
The more Draig sat by himself the more those thoughts echoed until finally Draig sprinted out of the Farmhouse at top speed which would be truly remarkable even for a new user when compared to the Guilders.
He suddenly came to a stop in front of one the walls surrounding the Farm, this wall happened to have a large stone pressed right up against it as if it had been cut just for the purpose of resting there which raised a few flags in Draig's mind which happened to be a much needed distraction. Draig pierced his claws into the rock and showed obvious strain when attempting to move it but in the end failed. Growling Draig reared his fist back and smashed it into the rocks surface managing to knock a chunk out of the rock before an incredible sight happened right before his eyes.
The rock began regenerating causing Draig to become even more curious as to what would be behind the blockage.
Draig suddenly began swiping rapidly knocking several chunks from the rock but it seemed as if it would never end because just as he knocked out a second chunk the first was already filled again.
Draig cursed mentally after regaining his breath and started walking back to the Farmhouse while noting the location of the rock for later.
After the whole debacle from the day before Draig woke up enthused to be catching up on the things he didn't know about the world however he ended up waiting for the whole day and no one had shown up. As the daylight passed Draig's face sunk further into that anger until he yelled for Dracule.
"Yes, Milord" came Dracule quickly with a bow showing an obvious change in temperance which put Draig on edge but with the enchantment in place he should be safe from the Pumpkin's plots.
"Gather a few of the skeletons and scrounge up all information you can about this modern era" commanded Draig as he turned from Dracule and returned to his room for sleep expecting a completed mission in the morning.
When morning broke the next day Draig walked into the living room expecting to see stacks of books but instead he only saw a single large one sitting on his table, it was the same one he had picked up from the store.
"A Changing World, a handbook of need to know information for Guilders" read Draig
'How quaint' thought Draig before flipping to the table of Contents.
'Lets start with the basics... again' sighed Draig mentally as he couldn't recall what he had read before due to recent events and stress.
'Congratulations! If you are reading this then that means you are one the lucky bunch that received a system, now you may think it's all fun and games but I am here to tell you about a few things you need to be aware of to be a capable Guilder.' After reading this far Draig began to feel a bit let down by the book but continued anyways.
'So let us begin with a brief review of our history. Our world began at the Epoch, it is not quite understood what came before or even what caused the Epoch but this is how the world we know today was formed. Research can show us that after the Epoch the world as we know it began increasing in mass and expanding for some time until it reached its current size. However it wasn't until several hundred years later that the first recorded civilizations appeared, however humans are not the only life that can be traced back that far.
Looking at old cave paintings and murals you can see crude depictions of what are believed to be the earliest evolution of monsters. From this it can be seen that monsters have essentially rose through the evolutionary chain with us through out the years with some going extinct just as human peoples had.
Most other paintings depict man fighting monsters just as we do now but how could we fight back against the obvious superiority of monsters and thus our kind were forced to flee or serve. After several generations of serving these foul beings a human finally managed to use magic and the spell he cast was one from the heart that carried the hopes of humanity. The spell cast was a grand summoning that brought forth the Class System, those who entered the odd machine would come out with superior abilities allowing for the humans to fight back.
It took many years but eventually the humans had successfully overthrown the first of the monsters and began gathering allies while slowly taking back our world. After a century of slaughter humanity managed to force the monsters into a secluded section of the world that has now become known as the Beast lands, the beast lands taking nearly forty five percent of the planets surface has been the new battlefield and hunting grounds for Guilders.
One of the Key reasons that Guilders still enter the Beast lands to this day is because of the resources and materials that can only be gained from the corpses of monsters and their environments however a lesser known reason is because of the Blessed Volley that occurs randomly.
The Blessed Volley is the occurrence of mystical items formed by cosmic forces descending from the skies and landing in the Beast lands as comets. During this time Guilders, Knights, and Monsters all battle each other in the hopes of gaining even one of these cosmic weapons.
Moving on from the History we will be talking about some of the innovations made in the last century and first up on the list are pills.
Now it's no surprise if you haven't heard about pills yet as they are a Guilder reserved item, in other words you will have access to them very soon.
Something you need to know about pills in advance is that their predecessor is none other than the potions that you drink when you aren't feeling well or need that little extra boost. However the difference between the two is astounding, the first we will start with is the fact that you are able to carry far more pills than potions. Second the effects of pills have a wider variety and seem to be more potent in its effects than potions. Along with a few other innovations on the way Pills are clearly the more efficient option for Guilders of all ages.
Now some of the nifty inventions we have seen become popular from Guilder use, lets start with the Core Counter.
Just as it sounds the Core counter is your new best friend when it comes to exchanging and storing your beast cores but that's not all. Despite the name the Core Counter has the excellent ability of holding Gold and silver as well so now you are able to carry the currency you need with you without the clutter of multiple storage systems.
The Bottomless Bag, as you are surely aware by now this little bag is gonna be your bread and butter as a Guilder or Knight. With the ability to store a seemingly endless amount of things the Bottomless Bag is definitely an essential if you intend to be any good at your job. Note that it is seemingly endless and that the size of the Bottomless Bag Varies from bag to bag.
Skill book, I would say essential but due to the supply one is lucky to even see a skill book let alone use it. Essentially this little Magical book will help you learn a skill regardless of your class and in some cases can even alter your class.
By now your just beginning to scratch the surface of what our world truly has to offer and I wish you the best of luck in your adventures and hope for you to be the best Guilder you can be' read Draig again his eyes feeling heavier though the intrigue couldn't be hidden however sleep seemed to be the winner as the young Feratu closed his eyes and fell back to rest against his chair not knowing what the next day would bring.
