Laz was surprised and yet wasn't surprised. He had thought a little bit about what the girls would be doing with their new found strength, but didn't think it would concern him. At least, not right away.
Apparently he was wrong.
"I'm not sure what you've been told, but I can't just make someone a god," Laz said releasing his grip on her neck.
"I'm not stupid. But those two have become gods and it is because of you. Were they lying?" Persephone asked, her dark eyes glaring at him even as the rest of her face stayed covered.
Laz thought about it and while there was a number of little subtleties to how it happened, he couldn't deny he played a huge roll in the end. Even with Artemis, if it wasn't for him, she would be dead.
"I guess not."
"Then make me a god."
"You have to know it wasn't just something that happened."
"I'm aware. As I said, I'm not stupid. What? You think I care about the process?"
"I mean..."
