This scene was taking place in almost every clan as their kids get ready to awaken their martial spirits. One of those kids is named Meng Han from the Meng Clan. The Meng Clan is located in the Silver Clover City. Meng Han is an orphan. All he knew about his parents was that his father's name is Meng Hao and that he died during a beast horde when Wang Han tries to bring up his mother they ignore the subject like it was taboo. Right now his uncle Meng Jiang is taking care of him. Meng Han started cultivating when he as 4 like most children but he advanced way faster than anyone else. In 5 years he went from no cultivation to Peak Body Refinement, Meng Han's comprehension is also excellent as he comprehended martial moves to perfect completion in very short amounts of time. He was also more mature than most people his age and he wasn't arrogant causing adults to have a better view of him. Meng Han was classified as a genius by the elders and had finally gotten a little attention. The elder on the stage started calling names for the awakening "Next Meng..., next Meng..., next Meng..." Meng Han didn't know most of these people until he heard a familiar name "Next Meng Lianjia." She was the Patriarch's daughter and the most spoiled girl in the clan. The people started gasping, most people in the clan had Ice spirits as it was part of their bloodline with the occasional other spirits due to a mix of bloodlines, but the Ice Peacock was the clan's most pure bloodline and its cultivation speed is incredibly high. The Patriarch on the side started laughing as he shouted out "That is my daughter she has the purest Meng bloodline, she will be the next Matriarch, hahaha." Meng Lianjia looked over to Meng Han who had no expression and smirked as she thought to herself "It won't be long till I smash you into the ground for the humiliation last time." After she got off stage the elder called the next name "Next Meng Han." Meng Han ignored all the whispering and walked to the stage, pressing his hand on the awakening stone at first nothing happened. Then a sudden flash of lights blinded everyone there and a small koi fish started to appear. It looked like a Blue Koi fish but it had a ring above its head and occasionally a golden aura would poke out from its scales. The announcer once again checked if their were any spirits more matching to this but didn't find any so he called out "Blue Koi variant" The elders shook their heads as the Blue Koi is one of the weakest ice spirits to exist, even if it was a variant it was still going to be weak. The elders looked upset as they thought "Too bad he could have been great if he got a good martial spirit." Meng Lianjia was ecstatic as she thought "HAHAHA, You could have never been as great as me, watch as I destroy you." Even as everyone gave Meng Han a look of pity, Meng Han didn't look fazed at all, he simply got off the stage and sat down where he was before. It was as if the world didn't concern him. The rest of the kids awakened their marital spirits and people started to leave. Meng Han started walking to Uncle Jiang when he saw him talking to a girl. Her name was Meng Jing, at the awakening, she awakened a variant of the Ice Wolf causing some elders to look her way. When she saw Meng Han she snorted "Look, dad, it's the trash, before he might have been a "genius" but now with his trash marital spirit he should just cripple himself." Uncle Jiang seemed to have agreed but still said: "Meng Jing what have I told you he is your cousin you cannot talk to him like this." Before Uncle Jiang would say Meng Han was her brother but now saying cousin meant that Uncle Jiang didn't want anything to do with him. Meng Han ignored both of them and walked to his room where he sat down cross-legged and called out his Marital Spirit. Meng Han prayed "Please don't tell me that was an illusion."
