There was a bright light shining from the neon sign that was standing next to the small building. People often called this tiny but luxurious house 'Nimia'. Laura was thinking about her life and she was passing by while immersed in her thoughts.
"Why do I have to overthink everything?" she was saying in her head.
She entered Nimia and sat down on a comfortable sofa next to the window. She felt as if she was singing in a pile of fluff. The waitress saw her and came after a few minutes.
"What would you like?"
"Hmm, an ice-coffee will be fine," Laura answered.
Laura took a glance at the window while waiting for the coffee and her friend.
"I have to choose between them and I don't even have the slightest clue if I will make the best choice. It is going to be difficult..." she sighed. "I don't want to regret it so I will have to be careful with my final decision. Maybe Nicola will be better for me. His smile makes my heart skip a beat. He is so careful and his gentle eyes fill my whole being with passion. The blond hair strands which cover his left eye so naturally makes his face look so handsome. Nicola's mind is always so thoughtful and this abstract philosophy of his makes me question my own life and the reason for my very existence..." she sighed once again.
The cafè was getting lively. There were so many people coming in and going out every minute. They were all wearing their expensive suits and made to order hats.
Suddenly the door opened widely and a tall slim man came in. Laura waved her hand and the man spotted her. He greeted her as he got close to the table:
"Hey, Laura what's up?"
"Well, the usual stuff, you know," she replied, "Anyway, how are you doing France?"
"Hmm there are a lot of things going on these days and I have some important matters to discuss with you when we are alone sometime."
"You can say that again."
Laura looked at his perfectly symmetrical face and thought that his brown hair and deep eyes turned it addictive to look at. Her heart started beating. She was shocked by the reaction of her body. The feeling was indescribable.
She knew that France liked her a lot and it was so unfortunate that she had similar feelings for another person. Laura was unsure if Nicola would be the right choice.
"I have spent countless hours with France and he will feel awful if our relationship ends in such a way," she was spacing out again.
"If we both have vital things to talk about, then we should move."
"I have ordered a coffee and I am afraid that we have to wait for a little. I know that time is of the essence for you but let us enjoy the company of each other for a little longer. Why don't you order something too?"
"Fine, I guess that it can't be helped," he said with a gentle smile.
He looked the waitress directly in the eyes and she came.
"Hello, sir, what will it be today?"
"Hi, let it be the usual cup of tea," he replied with shining eyes.
"Coming right up!" she said and left them alone.

They had a little chat and headed out after they both finished their drinks. While they were walking down the street Laura was complaining about her work as a lawyer. She always thought that it was the most exhausting thing in the world.
"You can't imagine that the lack of proper education can make people so self-confident so they would dare to argue with the judge even if they haven't studied law," she was obviously mocking somebody. But she deliberately omitted the name of the person whose actions were described.
"Well, I suppose that education should not be treated lightly," France shared his honest opinion.
"You are absolutely right."
"By the way, where are we going?" France asked.
"How about my place? We can spend some time in peace and quiet there."
"It sounds great."

After about fifteen minutes they arrived. Laura unlocked the door and they got in her home. They sat on the sofa and did not say a word for a few minutes. It seemed that they were both thinking how they should share the things bothering them.
"I know what you are thinking. You are about to say 'Ladies first' but not this time. You are going to tell me what is in your heart first," Laura said while looking at France.
"You are right. It is always like you said so I suppose that it will be fair to start first at least once."
