"Well, you know that I have truly fallen in love with you," France shared his honest thoughts, "but the thing is that I experience similar feelings for another person too. I have finally decided that we need to break up."
France was scared by the shocked look on Laura's face. They both remained silent for a minute.
"Your turn now," he became impatient.
Laura was not sure what to say, "I need a minute to think about it."
She stood up, went to the kitchen and asked from the other room:
"Do you want anything?"
"Well, it depends on your answer," France replied with a bitter smile on his face.
"Then, I will bring you a cup of water."

Laura came back after a few minutes with a mug of black coffee in her right hand and a cup of water in the other one. She placed them on the table and sat down.
"I am speechless... However, my turn has come and I must tell you that I am in the same situation. I have feelings for another person too."
France almost dropped the cup as he was not expecting so simple answer. He put the cup on the table and started thinking.
"Well, I think that we understand each other and nobody should feel any jealousy."
"I guess that you are right."
France looked at the window and saw the sun setting down. Its gentle light that disappeared from the room. They continued talking after that breath-taking view took place.
"If I have to be honest, I didn't expect anything like that," Laura said.
"Well, me neither."
She continued, "Even so I don't think that I am ready to end our relationship because this might be a mistake that I don't want to regret in the future. But in the given circumstances I don't think that I have any other choice."
"Yeah, you have, come on. Why do you think that it is going to be a mistake?"
"I will overthink it and I will come to the conclusion that the other option would have been better."
"I have said countless times that you have to stop doing this. It has negative psychological effects."
"I know, I know..." Laura said.
"Well, if it is that hard to choose, then pick one and stop thinking about it. In this situation, as I have made up my mind, you have another person who you can go to. It is not the end of the world."
"Fine, that's enough. We have officially broken up. It is unusual that I don't feel bad after all."
"I don't feel neither guilty for breaking up nor jealous because there is another man. It took a while to get enough courage up and admit the truth to myself. I was so frustrated at first but now I am so happy that we both will be able to continue forward," France shared his feelings.
"We still should be friends. I mean that there is no reason to break our friendship too."
"There is still a deep bond between us and it will not be destroyed so easily."
The deep blue sky was taking over slowly as it was getting late. There were a few stars that were visible even though there was a lot of light pollution from the town. The street lamps were casting their light on the pavement, illuminating the nightlife.
France took a glance at the window and said, "It is already 10 o'clock. I should be going. Damn the time flies so fast."
"It is always like this. Our lives will be gone in an instant and before we know it we will be lying horizontally forever. The important thing is that in our short lives we will leave something to the next generations," Laura was getting carried away in philosophy.
"Wow, you never cease to amaze me," he said and left.

There were so many cars passing by on the busy street. It was just a typical night. The moon was starting to rise and its gentle light was shining from the sky.
France stopped for a moment and looked at the horizon. He felt some kind of a relief because Laura was able to overcome him. Now he was able to be completely devoted to his other love.

In the same time, Laura was talking with Nicola on the phone.
"Why don't you come to my place this night? We can have some fun here," Laura said.
