Liang Chen had no idea what to do about this. He hadn't told him of it exactly because he knew he would react like this.
"Brother Xiao don't be like that. Life has a begining and an end. I'll just go ahead of you, and besides my disciple will be here to follow my legacy."
Chen Xiao glared at him and said nothing. He knew his friend very well. He wouldn't care even if he died tomorrow, because he was satisfied with everything, a disciple to follow and improve his legacy and a few good friends. His only regret was not being able to continue cultivating.
He knew that Liang Chen had a transfer formation but he didn't do anything because he hoped that someday he could achieve his dream of pursuing new heights in the Spear. Normally if other people had it they would either hand it over or perish, since a transfer in this world could weaken the seal.
But now it was all in vain. He only had a few years left. He was angry and didn't know why he didn't tell him, but after anylising as to how he was reacting he understood why. Liang Chen knew him the best, so he knew how he would react, but that only made him more angry somehow, since he had heard it from someone else.
He started walking and left the hall while saying "I'm going to take some air."
Seeing this Liang Chen smiled ruefully. He really didn't want him to know until his last day... He sighed and changed his mindset. Then he remembered why he had brought Liang Meng over.
"Senior, I know there are a lot of formations in here so could you share them with my disciple?"
Hearing this Liang Meng's eyes glimmered as she thought about those wondrous formations. But hearing the dragon senior's next words she got disappointed.
"Unfortunately, I cannot." he said as he shook his head with a wry smile.
"Why is it senior? If it's talent then my disciple's is as good as mine." Liang Chen said in a hurry.
The dragon senior got once again flabbergasted as this man's shamelessness for an instant.
"It's not that I don't want to share them. Well even if I could she would have to swear to never tell another living soul about them, since they are a legacy of our race. But the problem is we only have access to a few, and they are not of an extremelly high level at that. The high level ones were sealed by our ancestors and they never told us why. According to what they left behind we know that they can be unsealed, but it would be necessary someone of god level cultivation realm or above."
Hearing this Liang Chen was disappointed, but Liang Meng was awestruck. She knew of the god cultivation realm, but above that it was a complete myth, some even speculated that it did not exist, after all once you breakthrough you immediately go through a tribulation and ascend.
"But there is one that is not sealed, or more specifically it was created by a first generation guardian. It's a spear tablet but it only says 'One's feelings can determine the end and make the immaterial into reality.' There are many speculations about it, but as far as we know none of them are correct, or they could all be correct."
"Come I will lead you there, maybe you can see something that we cannot."
As they followed him they got to a wall, suddenly that wall transformed into many stands full of tablets, many of which were blank with runes floating around them, they were probably the seals. But there was one that looked extremelly ordinary and on it were the words they had heard previously.
Liang Chen looked at it for a long time, but hr had no idea what they meant. After all his knowledge was completely only focused on what he had seen and gone through, which was completely limited to this world.
Then he shook his head and looked towards Liang Meng, who was still looking at the tablet while frowning. Even she with her vast experience could make many guesses and thought that all of then were correct, but she felt that the one who made did not mean any of what she thought. After some time she shook her head and took a step back.
"I see. So even you cannot decipher it. Well don't worry. We can take you to see the formations that we have access to, but most of them were made by many geniuses while watching the formations around, while others were left to be used by those who had dragon blood on their veins."
