The door led Klora to the back of a room, the artifacts in the room looked old. Klora sneezed as he got into the room. There were empty seats and the whole room was quiet. Klora wasn't surprised, he knew he was ahead of time.
In front of the class was a chair and a table for the teacher probably. Klora looked around and saw a chair at the back of the class where he was staying. He dropped his leather bag on the table in front of the chair then sat on the chair. He opened the bag and brought out TAME A SWORDON, The textbook for the Swordon class. He opened and stared at it.
Footsteps! Footsteps!!
Not long, Klora heard footsteps along the corridor outside the room, he tried hard not to look up as the door opened.
" Klora! What's up? You're the first in here." said a voice. Klora raised his head and widened his brows as he saw Geoge.
" Geoge!" exclaimed Klora. He was speechless, he didn't know what to say to him.
" How did you know the class has been moved here, I have been looking for where Swordon class was moved to." said Geoge. He drew a chair from in front of Klora's seat and dragged it beside him, he then sat on it as he drew closer a table in his front. He placed his bag on the table also and dipped his hand inside the bag.
" Oh! Really?" Klora exclaimed.
" You don't know?" Geoge widened his eyes.
" No, I ..... I meant yes" Klora stuttered, he wasn't sure what to say, he could felt his body itching him already. Geoge ignored his weird reply and also took out his own copy of TAME A SWORDON.
The room was tranquil, none of them spoke as they both focused on their Swordon Text book.
Footsteps!
Footsteps!
Footsteps!
The door was opened as different students flooded the whole room. Their arrival broke the silence. They all filled the vacant seats. Of course they were all Brown Knights in brown robes. Klora and Geoge didn't raise up their heads, they both ignored the presence of the other students.
The whole room became too noisy and unbearable for Geoge, Klora could see it through his reaction. It was unbearable for Klora as well but what could he do?
Subsequently, the door opened and Klora saw Prus walk inside the room. Klora's heart raced as beads of sweat kept on falling over his robe. He wasn't sure if he was safe or not. He hid his face in his textbook as Prus went towards an empty chair far from Klora's seat. He looked unhappy and really fumed.
" it would be best if I could outrun him as fast as I could after class" he thought.
Whoop!
Suddenly, something flew pass Klora, it was so fast that Klora couldn't apprehend what it was. He noticed that Geoge also sensed it, there was a puzzled expression on him.
" What was that?" Geoge asked Klora in a low voice. Klora was puzzled as well, he wasn't sure of why Geoge was relating to him in such manner.
" I don't know" he replied him. The other students seemed not to had noticed anything, their whisperings and murmurings went on.
Clap! Clap!! Clap!!!
The whole room went silent as they all traced the clapping sound to the back of the class. At the back of the class stood an average height man with beards. He was putting on a brown robe with a white collar.
" I have been here for almost 30 minutes and none of you noticed my presence, what a disappointment." He walked in a leisure pace across the chairs at the center to the front of the class.
" 30 minutes? Then what flew pass my side just now?" Klora thought.
" Brown Knights must be at alert always and they also must not be too outspoken." said the man as he glared at Gawr, a fat boy with puffy cheeks.
" I am Master Klaren and I am your Swordon teacher." said Master Klaren. He walked up and down the class as he spoke.
" Firstly, you must know what a Swordon is and its importance in a Brown Knight's life." He stared at Prus for a while and then moved his look.
" Can anyone tell me what a Swordon is?" asked Master Klaren.
" I sir!" exclaimed Geoge as he flung his hand into the air.
" Oh! Geoge right?" asked Master Klaren.
"Yes sir!" he replied.
" ok, tell me what you know"
Geoge stood up and exhaled as he started talking.
" a Swordon is an enchanted weapon crafted for the use of Brown Knights alone. A Swordon is also a weapon that chooses its wielder and build a strong bond that can never be broken unless the wielder dies." Geoge explained. Klora's mouth was left wide opened, he acknowledged Geoge's intelligence already. The whole room also went quiet as Geoge spoke.
" that's impressive Geoge, you're just like your father" said Master Klaren.
" thank you sir" Geoge muttered.
" that's just the synopsis of a Swordon, there's more to it than just that. Taming of a Swordon is the toughest part in the life of a Brown Knight." Said Master Klaren.
" open your textbook to page 54 and read out what's there" Master Klaren ordered.
" To tame a Swordon, you need positive vibes around you, present yourself harmless and humble, that's the only way you can get your self a Swordon. "They all read it out aloud.
" About that, well…." Master Klaren paused and scratched his forehead.
" that's what we would be discussing in the next class"
" and you both…." Master Klaren called out on Klora and Geoge.
" Sir!" they exclaimed as they hurried up.
" nice sensitivity you get over there" Master Klaren beamed as he made for the door.
"your class would be changed as well for the next class, so, check the bill in the hall from time to time" he opened the door and went out.
Immediately he was gone, there erupted noises of various kinds. There were chatting and whisperings.
Klora was still thinking about what Master Klaren just said to them, what did he mean by that? He wasn't sure. He looked at Geoge and noticed he was already packing his book inside his bag. Klora wasn't ready to go yet, he was waiting for Prus to go out or sneak out on him.
" why don't you come to my room and do the reading for the next class together" said Geoge as he flung his bag at his back.
" oh! To your room?" asked Klora.
" you would be busy? It's okay if you can't, I can read on my own, it's just that I need someone to keep my company." Said Geoge.
" no, I'm not." Klora wasn't sure if he was doing the right thing by accepting his invitation, he felt pleased that someone at least saw the good in him.
" does that mean we're passing the corridor!" he asked.
Geoge widened his brows.
" What do you mean? Is there any other way we can pass?"
" No, I mean…. Hum…" Klora stuttered, he was short of words.
" shall we go now?" said Geoge. Klora looked towards where Prus was sitting, he was still mad about something, it was all over him.
" yea!" Klora exclaimed as they both stood up and made for the door. As they move, Prus raised his head and glared at Klora, to Klora's amazement, he just bowed his head again and ignored him.
" what's up with him?" Klora thought as Geoge opened the door. Klora tried hard not to think about anywhere, he wasn't sure if the door was going to work while Geoge was with him.
Luckily, the door led them to the corridor. They both went out of the room.
They worked along the corridor for awhile, no one talked as Geoge led the way.
They eventually got to the end of the corridor, in front of them was the stair case leading to the Brown Dept., they climbed the stairs and made for the corridor in the dorm.
" you don't mind, do you?" Geoge asked all of a sudden.
" pardon!" exclaimed Klora, he widened his eyes as he got to the door of his room. Of course he knew Geoge had told him to follow him to his but how, he just couldn't follow him into his room like a puppet.
" It's hum….. nothing" Geoge stuttered. He made for the next room after Klora's then opened the door.
"See you tomorrow Klora, don't be late to Hunting class tomorrow, we're doing it outside the castle, I hope." said Geoge.
" Oh yeah, I'm that sure" said Klora, he tried his best not to sound weird, so he acted natural.
" later then, I think it's around 9 tomorrow" said Geoge as he went inside his room and shut the door.
Klora was still at his doorstep, he was lost in thought, he wasn't sure of why Geoge had told him to come to his room and later act like he never said so.
" there is something strange about that boy, I need to be careful" he thought. He opened the door and went inside.
