" thank you" said Klora. Ren sneered again as he turned his back at them and made to leave.
" excuse me, how are we supposed to leave this place?" Ofelia asked.
" Wait for the coins to guide you." Ren replied as he went through the pit. He couldn't be seen anymore, he was gone already.
Klora held out the coins and stared at it as Ofelia stepped forward,
" do you guys trust that stranger? We just can't believe that he is helping us, not like we knew him before or something." Said Ofelia, she was glaring at the coins in Klora's hand.
" And do we have any other choice if we don't believe him? Not like we have any coin with us before. Let's just take it and talk about it later." Zil replied her.
"Can I have a closer look at the coins?" Ofelia asked as she tried to collect the coins from him.
"I don't think so, the coins was given to him, don't try to take it from him." Boyun interjected. Ofelia glared at him and moved back.
Grrr!!!!
The coins started vibrating on Klora's palm, he almost dropped as he held out his second hand to support it.
" what's going on?" Boyun asked him as he tried to move closer to him.
"I don't know, it just starts moving."
Psssss....
There came a oozing sound from the coins as yellow smoke erupted from it.
" I think you should drop it" Zil suggested.
Klora was carried away with the sound coming out of it that he did not even noticed the smoke.
Grrr!!!
The coins vibrated again as the coins merged together and the smoke still coming out.
Aww!
Klora suddenly dropped the coin as he held his hand in pain. The coin was trying to sink into his palm just as he dropped it. He hurriedly moved away from where it dropped just as others moved away also.
The coin had left a scar on his palm, his palm burnt with the shape of the coin. The coin on the floor kept on making the sound just as the yellow smoke kept on erupting from it.
Before they knew what happened , there was already a cloud of smoke everywhere. It became wild and was hard to see where they were.
"it's a trap!" Zil yelled. They became uneasy and was trying to make a solution out of it when Ofelia exclaimed,
" See!" she pointed towards where the smoke was already vanishing.
" yea! I see it, it's the barrier" Klora exclaimed as well. Ahead of them was the barrier from earlier. They couldn't believe it, they were already at the exit of the forest.
" we made it, thanks to Ren!" Klora exclaimed as the smoke vanished leaving the whole area clear for view. The coin was back into four coins, it looked as if nothing had happened.
They looked miserable as they followed the path to the barrier. They had lost their weapons during the chaos. Their robes were torn almost everywhere. It was already dark but thanks to the moonlight that lit up everywhere.
As they moved closer to the barrier, they noticed some people at the other side of the barrier, their were some people in grey robes, some in brown and some in a mixture of black and white robes.
"that's quite a crowd!" Zil exclaimed just as they were near the barrier. They all looked puzzled.
" Was going on? Why are there so many people? " Ofelia as rhetorically. The barrier was still on. There was no way to walk through it.
By the look of things, the people at the other side of the barrier looked disturbed. It seemed like they were trying to open the barrier.
Klora and the other three sat on the floor, they had no choice. They kept on looking at the people in the other side.
Not long, some people in grey robes hurried over to the front of the barrier. They had their left knee on the floor and their right knee above it. They all held out a longbow and took out an arrow from the quiver of arrow at their back. They nocked the arrow onto the longbow and pulled the string backward until it reached its limit. They waited as the sunlight shone on the arrowhead.
Those in brown robes also held out their swords and had a tight grip. They all stood as if they were ready to charge at something coming at them.
10! 9! 8!
Suddenly, a voice started counting from inside the barrier. Startled by the sudden countdown, Klora and the other three hurried up and got ready to move. After all, they knew what the countdown meant.
7! 6! 5! 4! 3!
The voice suddenly stopped counting. Everywhere was quiet, it looked like the quiet before the crazy.
"Was going on?" Zil whispered as she grimaced her face.
Nothing happened, the people In Grey robes were still on one knee down one knee up, the string of the longbow pulled to its fullest, ready to be released at anytime.
Suddenly, the barrier erupted. There were gasps coming from Klora and the others.
Those at the other side did not move an inch, they were all at alert.
" reds! Hurry over here!" one of the man in a mixture of white and black robes shouted at Klora and his team mates. He was old and had wrinkles on his face. His beard was 5cm long and his head free of hair.
"Whar! He's asking us to walk through the barrier? It could be a trap." Said Ofelia.
"What choice do we have?" Boyun asked rhetorically.
All of a sudden, they all took to their heels as they ran as fast as they could. They ran across where the barrier was formally placed, and later got to where the crowd was.
" take them to the atrium now!" the man shouted again, pointing to a man in brown robe.
The man did as he was ordered and led them away. On their way off, Klora glanced back and noticed that the men in Grey robes were still on guard.
"What could possibly be happening?" Klora thought in himself as they went into a building made of black bricks.
