There were no white clouds that could be seen in the endless sky, making it a feast for the eyes. Several black- colored birds flew across the sky; a large forest underneath them looked verdant and thriving. There were many twisted small paths between the trees. Different carriages with different colored straws moved in a slow peace, and you could even hear the rhythmic echoes of the hooves stomping on the ground. Just along the path, a teenager was seen lying on the floor with his body caked in dust, it was Klora. His cloth was stained with blood, and his messy hair mixed with sand.
The teenager's eyes were closed as though he was sleeping. Different carriages passed by his side without stopping to check on him.
Bang!!!
With a loud noise, the wheels of a carriage toppled over a sharp stone on the road. The whole carriage stopped after the collision. Klora was woken up by the commotion. He opened his eyes slowly but the sun light penetrated through his blurred eyes. His scrunched face was of a yellow hue just like wax.
"Where am I' Klora asked; his voice was very faint and it sounded weak. He inhaled once; he could smell the fragrance of lush green grasses. The teenager looked at his surroundings in confusion. He scratched his head and tried to remember what had happened. After thinking for a while, he gave up thinking, he couldn't remember anything but just that he had to meet Boyun by noon. He looked up to the sky as he stood up, dusting his cloth.
Aww!!!
As he dusted his cloth, he felt pain in his shoulder. His shoulder ached him so much that he had to sit on the floor.
"Blood?" He noticed the blood on his shoulder and knitted his brows. He touched his shoulder and pressed it gently.
Aww!
It ached him again. He felt confused and tried to remember what had happened and why there's blood on his shoulder. Yes, he could remember his departure with Boyun.
"Whatever happened must have happened after I left for home" he soliloquized as he kept on rubbing his shoulder gently.
"Wait, where is home? Where do I live?" he furrowed his eyebrows as he kept on wondering what must have happened.
Many carriages passed by the path where he was lying but ignored his presence. He thought of checking the wound on his shoulder to see what was aching him but he decided not to, not when people were still moving here and there.
"Well, I should probably meet Boyun and tell him what happened. Perhaps, he might know what happened on my way to wherever I was going" he concluded and rose up to his feet, then began to pick his way towards the east.
As he moved, he felt less pain in his shoulder. After moving for sometime, the pain had gone. He soon forgot about the questions bothering him. All he could remember was that he needed to meet Boyun at someplace. Although, he didn't know of where he was to meet with Boyun but he kept walking as his mind directed.
After some time, he got to a small house made of woods located at the middle of the forest. He moved closer to the house and called out on Boyun.
"Boyun! Boyun!! Boyun!!!" he called him several times but heard no response. He felt dejected and confused, what was he going to do?" he remembered the strong passion he had for grey knights and how Boyun had promised to get him an entry but now that he couldn't see Boyun, he felt confused.
Klora!
Someone called his name from a long distance.
Boyun!
He called back, thinking it was Boyun who called his name.
Klora! Klora!!
He felt the voice in his head, echoing as the voice was echoed by another.
"Who is that? What's going on?" he thought in himself as he held his head with both hands, trying to eradicate the voice off his head.
" Klora! Let not your destiny be tampered with!!!" the voice yelled as he kept on hitting his head with his hands.
Suddenly, he felt someone touched him from behind.
Haa!
He yelled and ran forward, shivering as he felt chilled.
" Klora! It's me Boyun!!" Boyun yelled as he grabbed his cloth, drawing him near. After seeing that it was really Boyun, Klora felt eased and stayed calm. Somehow, Klora felt like he should not tell Boyun what he was experiencing.
"What's going on? Why are you shocked seeing me?" Boyun asked curiously.
"Of course you startled me. Anyway, how about it? Did I gain an entry?" Klora replied him. Meanwhile, deep down in Klora, he had been thinking of what was happening to him but he decided to make it a secret until he found out what was really happening.
"Yeah, we're to join other aspirants to sit for a test at the school" said Boyun. He dip his hand inside a pouch hung at his waist and brought out two blue gems.
" This is all we need" he handed one to Klora and returned the other one back in his pouch.
" Boyun, I heard a voice in my head, calling my name, it was an old woman's voice" said Klora as he knitted his brows.
Although, he had decided not to tell Boyun but it was hard for him, and sharing his plight with Boyun was the only solution he could thought of at the moment.
Boyun looked surprised as he listened to Klora.
"Really? What did the voice say?" Boyun asked as he left his brows furrowed.
" Do not worry, perhaps it's an illusion" Klora replied as he beamed. Why did he even talk about it when he was not going to finish it.
"Ok then, let's be on our way before we run out of time" Boyun spoke as they both left the place.
