Chereads / The Adventure of Klora / Chapter 3 - The Sad One

Chapter 3 - The Sad One

Along the road side near a market in Daorah kingdom, a young boy was seen running. He was putting on a ragged cloth with holes all around it, and he was putting on a black leather shoe with holes all around it as well. His skin was black with his hair dark. He was slim and wasn't that tall. He kept on running, dodging the stones an old woman kept on throwing at him. The old woman with wrinkles all over her face threw at the boy stones with the intention of hurting him. She also wasn't putting on a good cloth either, even, she looked like a beggar. She cursed the young boy as she chased him, even though she was running at a very low speed.

"You cursed child, I swear on Ihonda, am going to kill you" she continued shouting as she stopped running, breathing heavily with her hands on her knee caps. The young boy kept on running, breathing heavily as he ignored the old woman's curses. Not along, he got to a wooden house surrounded by bushes. The house had all over the windows and doorstep webs. The house looked like it had been abandoned for years. The young boy got to the doorstep and sat on the floor, yelling and crying. He cried as he hit the doorstep with his hand continuously. He kept on crying as he stood up and moved to the back of the house, crying as he walked.

"Klora! Klora!! Klora!!! Are you there?" a voice shouted. Hearing his name, Klora stopped weeping and wiped tears off his face.

"I heard your voice now, come out it's Boyun" said the voice. After hearing it's Boyun, he came back to the front of the house, putting on an happy expression.

"How are you doing Boyun?" said Klora, he moved towards Boyun and offered him an handshake.

"Spare me that, I know you're having problem at home again" replied Boyun. He was putting on a noble dress with a golden shoe. He was a white skinned boy with a brown hair. He moved closer to Klora and threw his arm around his shoulder.

" Only if you know what I brought this time…." he paused for some minutes, noticing that Klora was still not happy.

" Don't worry Klora, you'll soon be out of your plights, it's only a matter of days" Boyun tried to cheer him up and kept on smiling as he spoke. Boyun noticed Klora's expression changed a little after hearing of his plight soon gone.

Klora stopped sobbing and looked at Boyun in his face.

" What do you mean by that?" Klora asked curiously.

"Your dream is about to come true" Boyun beamed as he moved some steps away from him and turned his back at him.

"Will you stop beating around the bush, Boyun!" Klora yelled at him and furrowed his eyebrows.

"Ok, my father wants me to start attending the grey knight school and I know how you've been trying to get admitted into the grey knight school. So, I was thinking of getting two entries, one for you and one for me." Boyun explained as Klora kept on listening. Klora smiled for sometime and later knitted his eyebrows.

" It's really something I'd like to do but I don't think that's possible. What about the witch at home, she might report me to the authority and you know what comes after that" Klora looked dejected.

" You are right, but not when she doesn't know where you're headed. You know what that means, don't you? Meet me here at noon tomorrow when you're ready, unless you want your dream gone." Boyun replied, Klora breathed heavily and nodded his head in affirmation just as Boyun turned back and left him all alone at the place.
