Chapter 2 - So Silly!

"You! Who.. Who are you? Wha..what are you doing here?!" she stuttered as she dropped her paintbrush on the ground. She eyed him questioningly and slapped his hand. Xu Jia Li immediately retrieved her left hand which had been held by him when she was about to fall earlier.

'Who is he? He doesn't look like he's from here.' she thought to herself while she threw daggers at him using her eyes.

The young boy glared at her with his pair of mesmerizing black eyes. All admiration earlier was gone and replaced by a cold gaze - annoyance clearly written on his angelic face.

"I've never met someone as silly as you. So silly." He sneered as he crossed his arms on his chest.

"You~"

"You didn't even know that I've been in here for about an hour. Who would have thought you are so clumsy?" he continuously attacked her while enjoying his time. His eyes glinted from mischief.

"You are not supposed to be here! This is my place. This is mine. You should not be here!"~ 'this is my safe haven' ~ She yelled at him. Her face crimsoned with fury. She was really pissed at him. She looked like a volcano ready to erupt any minute.

"There is no sign that says this is a private property."

'Hah, so arrogant!' she mused.

She didn't know how to answer him back. She glared at him. She wanted to kick him. Yes, there was no sign but her neighbours seldom went to this side of the hill because they knew she loved to paint and they were afraid she might be disturbed.

So, they almost let her have the place all on her own. This place had been secluded for her. Intentionally.

So she was really startled when she heard someone clapping.

She immediately picked a small stone. As she was about to throw it on his face, she suddenly thought of something and stopped herself.

'Don't! I will not get my hands dirty for this rascal! My hands are for greater things.'

So she decided to pick all her things, turned and hurriedly walked passed him.

----------------------------------

Si Weimin looked at the young girl's back. She ran fast. He couldn't help but laugh from her silliness. How could she not notice that he's been there for almost an hour?

'How funny!' he thought.

Weimin was the 11 year-old eldest son of Si Wei and Jin Ruolan. He came from the prestigious Si family. His father was the CEO of Si International Corporation while his mother was the only daughter of one of the richest business tycoons in Asia. Both families were respected and treated highly in the society.

Although, he looked healthy, he was a bit sickly. He was born with weak lungs but according to their family doctor, he would be okay as long as he would take care of himself.

The Si family tried to lessen his exposure to pollution so his body could recuperate fast. They've been visiting different places and it was his first time to be in Xhuan Jin Province.

It annoyed him everytime they travelled so upon arriving, he took his time to stroll along the beautiful scenery of the countryside.

While walking, his attention was caught up by a movement on the top of the hill. Someone was walking back and forth, getting rocks.

Out of curiosity, he approached the figure. He was mesmerized by the scene that unfolded in front of him.

The place was magnificent. Flower beds were aplenty which carried fragrant smells which had a calming effect on his soul.

Rocks, big and small, some scattered had beautiful paintings on them. Bright colors gave him a sudden joy.

He looked at the young girl who was currently standing tiptoed on the stones which were obviously stacked together, to reach the upper part of the rock.

'So that's why she's getting rocks.' Weimin thought.

What caught his attention more was the painting itself. Many stars were shining brightly around the sun. The sun was so bright it looked so real. The red flower in the middle complimented the brightness of the sun. He stood there watching her finish her work.

When she finished, he was in awe. 'Such a beautiful piece of art.'

He didn't notice that his hands were already clapping.

He saw how the young girl was startled as she tried to balance her feet on the stone. When she missed, he immediately rushed towards her and held her hand.

He saw fear instantly written on her face, and then replaced by anger when she turned to face him.
