At 3 PM Joseph reached office. He was sitting in Lea's room. Lea, Sheila and Hanna were there with him though Fred was completely unaware of this. They sat before the computer waiting for the arrival of Charlie. Of course Hanna is a kid but she is also watching this. She was afraid anything bad is going to happen for him.
By 4 o'clock Charlie came into the office. His facial expression was a bit different ,sadness was there and only sadness. He greeted Fred and Fred requested him to be seated.
Charlie : How are you Fred? How is Lea and Hannah.
Fred: They are fine but I wonder why someone who holds a grudge towards them is sooo curious over their well being.
Charlie : I don't hold any grudge towards them. But once upon a time I hate Holland bros because I was not able to pass them in any area. And so I hate their kith and kin and loved ones.
Fred: Hmmm. I am one of the Hollands and they are loved by the whole Hollands ans Hanna is the same blood. Obviously you holds a grudge.
Charlie : No more grudge talk Fred. You know am here to confess and not to fight.
Fred: confess??? We all know how you and your wife tried to destroy Michael and Lea. Even after his death you were not able to leave her. Even you and Joan led to his death. If she didn't hide those mails send to me by Micheal, I could have saved him . You don't deserve forgiveness. I know Lea and Hanna may forgive.. but I cannot.
Charlie : Don't forgive but I am willing to stop this war. We won't come infront of you and your family. But my problem is Joan. I want to save her. After all I am the real culprit behind all these mess. I never thought it would happen like this.
He was literally crying. Fred felt that his emotions are true.
Fred: How come it be that you are the main culprit???
Fred was.actually shocked by his revelation.
Charlie : Trust me Fred. I am not joking. I don't know what to say.
Fred: Hmm how can I trust you???? You have gone to that edge and tested my patience..
Charlie : I am sorry for that. I know a sorry would not.compensate the loss. Still apologize is the only option left for me.
Yes, when someone come to apologize, we need to consider them and forgive them. If all humans can do this, there will be world peace.... But I cannot do this... I also wished the same... If Lea was not willing to forgive me, then I would have been at a loss, completely. I should do the same to him. At least I should give him a chance.
Fred: What happened to Joan.
Charlie : Depressed. Situation is getting to that level that she need medication. Reason, those who hates get all that she wished for. Her heart is full of hatred and anger towards all. Now towards me too... Lea is pregnant second time and Joan was not even able to fall pregnant. Doctors advised to keep an eye on her... They fear she will self harm.
Fred knows what sort of lady was she. It was Michael who hated her and she took the revenge back by taking his life.... Still she is angry?
Fred: She took the life of the one who dumbed her... What more she want??? Lea? Hannah? Or me?... Whoever.. dream on... I won't let her do any harm to my family even if I have to kill her. I don't care.
His voice was cold and Charlie shrugged. How can he leave his Lea once again. Joan deserves death and no life... It is the ruling from Fred's court... Nobody can stop that...
Charlie : Micheal was cheated at first. It was I who did this. I am regretting it now. I know I am not worthy of forgiveness. Still I wish I could have cleared it at that time so that Joan and Micheal and Lea and you were married.
Fred: What are you talking about??? So what you have done in between????
His tone was mixed with curiosity and anger....
Charlie : You remember once Joan met with an accident and Micheal refused to visit her?
Fred: Yes. I do remember It's not easy to forget what happened from that day. everything went upside down...
Charlie: Hmmm, you know why he refused to visit her? It was just two days after your parents and Joan's parents decided on their engagement. I showed him a picture which showed me and Joan. She was just sitting near me and talking but it was taken from such an angle that it appeared as we were kissing. I have left this pic in my purse and left the purse with Micheal. He saw this. I purposely did this. Micheal was not fond of her but he had no reason to hate her also. This was enough. i though he would withdraw from that decision. I didn't know that he will go to Lea and sleep with her.
Fred: So, you purposely did this???. You know what you have done? Spoiled the life of all of us... But I still don't understand why he chose Lea.
Charlie: You know, they slept together.
Fred: No, they never before marriage. It was a lie by Micheal. He also played his part and who suffered, tell me.. Joan me and Lea...You two played it wel..
He was burning with anger. Suddenly Lea came running to his cabin along with Sheila, Joseph and Hanna.
Lea:Cool down Fred...
Fred: You were here?, You all were here?.. Why??
Lea: We were afraid if someone tricked you. We were in my cabin ans watching over you two.
Charlie: Hi Lea. Hello Mr and Mrs Holland. Hi Hannah.
Hannah: Hi uncle.. are you alone? That aunty didn't come??
Charlie: No baby, she is in the hospital.. She is not well.
