All sat down for dinner. Lea was serving food. When she saw Hanna and Allen's sulking face, she guessed what might have happened. Never interfere in kid's issues. They will be fine after a while.
Though Hanna and Allen were silent, the adults were enjoying the dinner. Lea took over the role of the lady of the house and Sheila sat on her chair relieved.
After dinner they discussed next course of action. It was to arrange a charity auction. Venue and date decided. Lea and Jesse needs to arrange everything for this.
Before too late Joy and family left.
When Leah was going back to her room, Sheila called her," Lea wait, dad wanna talk to you something."
"Oh, okay mom. I will come down"
Fred and Leah stood infront of him.
"Both of you need to register your marriage tomorrow. Just go to the registrar and do the formality. I have already informed the registrar and you need to bring that marriage certificate and keep it in the locker." Joseph finished his words. everyone was looking at Leah. She stood shocked.
Somehow she regained her voice," Dad, don't force me. I am not yet prepared for this. I can't do that." She burst into tears.
"No dear. Don't think bad. We are not forcing you But we need to do this formality. Its just to make you safe honey. No need for you to be his wife. You can be his wife when you are mentally prepared. Don't worry. To the outside world please behave life hus and wife. That is enough for the time being." Sheila consoled her.
'For the time being, what the heck. ... Means some day I need to be his wife? No.. not possible. From the first day I met Micheal he is in my heart. Nobody can change it. Nobody... Micheal I don't want to live here. Take me too... with you'.. She cried and begged inside.
She went upstairs. Sheila turned to Fred. He was crying. "Fred, my boy, you are my strong boy. You should never cry. This is life. Someday she will realise the truth. She will love you wholeheartedly then. No more tears dear. Never cry. Mamma cannot stand this. I only have you as my kid." She patted him like he is a small kid.
"Our lives turned to be a disaster just because a lie I started for fun, mamma. You know well how much I loved her.... She won't even recognize me mamma...."
"She will understand everything some day. You don't worry. She will." Sheila said.
"No mamma, she should never know what happened among us. Even I started today to tell her. But I cannot, mamma. I am afraid she will hate me. I am afraid."
Leah was hearing all these from the upstair hall. Completely confused. She wanted to know what exactly happened. These are something related to me tooo. I must know that. She sat on the sofa there waiting for Fred. She wants to talk to him when he come to his room.
