"Haha isn't it obvious? What is this old man's grandson to be named?" Li Zhang finally smiled as he looked at Li Jie and Qin Mengruo awaiting the response on tenterhooks.
"Considering the contents of our previous conversation, all of our prepared names are now impossible due to not carrying the Li name. Father you truly do make things difficult." Li Jie had finally fully recovered and quipped at his father.
"Darn brat, don't play games with me! Tell this old man his grandson's name before I beat it out of you!" Li Zhang retorted angrily at his son. Of course his anger was fake and he was relieved to see his son recover.
"Father back in the Qin Dynasty there is a name held in great reverence, I wonder if Father would approve?" Qin Mengruo smiled as she had suddenly remembered a name of great importance to her family.
"Ruo'er if this name holds meaning to your family, then I am more than happy for our son to enjoy this prestige. Now tell my father the name before he blows up once more." Li Jie laughed as he so subtly told his wife that he would bend to her every whim on this matter.
With all the turmoil her heart had felt today, Li Jie only wanted to find the smallest way to repay his wife.
"I understand, the his name shall be Qin Li. The name of the hero of the Qin Dynasty." Qin Mengruo smiled beautifully as she picked her son from his cradle and told all his name.
"Qin Li! Qin Li! HAHAHA this old man agrees with this name. It even contains the Li of our name still! Oh! Brother Luo will this be an issue?" Li Zhang began to laugh before turning to Luo Ming concerned of any ramifications.
"Brother Li do not worry, there is no concern so long as his family name is not Li. Qin Li, a fine name indeed! Worthy of a ruler for sure." Luo Ming chuckled as everyone else sighed from relief.
"Qin Li, a worthy name for my grandson." Wang Fang laughed for the first time in what felt like an age as she walked over to Qin Mengruo's side once more. Peering over at her grandson.
"Li'er, your aunt here cannot wait to see you grow. Do not worry I will protect you from your Third Uncle's foolishness." Li Xue giggled as she soothingly promised to protect her nephew.
Li Zhen almost coughed up blood as he heard her words. 'She berates me even now! Second Sister just what do I appear as in your eyes?'
"Oh speaking of Third Brother, Father... Third Brother made a helpful claim for once. He promised to vanquish anyone who calls me foolish. There was actually one such person recently" The light in Li Xue's eyes turned bright as she smiled malevolently at her younger brother.
'Oh heavens why is she saying this now?! Who could it possibly be?' Li Zhen could feel his impending doom arriving more quickly than he could ever plan for.
"Xue'er, I am glad that your brother looks to protect your name. So who was it that dared to offend you?" Li Zhang chuckled as he knew that he had just been made a pawn in his daughter's plot. He could not help but pity his son at the punishment he was going to receive.
"Oh Father do not worry, now that Third Brother has promised to reclaim my name, how could I be concerned? The person involved is no concern to Third Brother, it is only Qian Shanmu after all." Li Xue grinned evilly at her younger brother. Whilst Li Zhen's complexion became ashen immediately.
'F***! You are joking me right? Qian Shanmu?! When the hell did I become so capable as to deal with the number one genius of the Awakened Spirit School?! Qian Shanmu could probably survive in front of Eldest Brother. How could I even confront him?'
Li Zhen looked like a death row prisoner who was next to be executed. Only to know that he himself was innocent. Openly walking towards his death with no chance of explaining his innocence, the bitter feeling that this left inside him made him almost vomit.
"Third Brother what is wrong with your expression? Don't tell me you are going to say you never said those words? All of the maids were still present at that time. I'm sure one of them could explain the events." Li Xue's final assault was vicious, twisting the sword she had previously stabbed her brother with whilst cutting off his avenue for retreat.
Li Xue had truly grasped a hold on her younger brother at this time. She knew that he would have to confront that annoying man who always asked for her hand in marriage. The thought of having her brother beaten by the pest that wouldn't leave her alone brought a beautiful smile to the gorgeous face of Li Xue.
If it wasn't for her temperament she would truly be one of the most sought after women in the realm with her looks and her background.
"Third Brother good luck in your vanquishing of Qian Shanmu. Eldest Brother truly approves of Qian Shanmu, when you succeed I will be truly impressed." Li Jie struck another blow to Li Zhen just as he had been about to turn to him for aid.
"Eldest Brother you must be joking. I know that I am no match for Qian Shanmu, I can only wait for death to take me." Li Zhen groaned as his last resort for help had been cut off. 'Cursed skies, you actually place such a tribulation before me. Well then, I shall dutifully face this like the man that I am.'
Suddenly realising there was one person who could help him. Li Zhen looked towards the hole that he had previously created in the wall.
"Liu Feng come quick, we shall head for the Awakened Spirit School at once!" Li Zhen then grabbed Liu Feng from the wall as he pulled him out of the room.
'Third Young Master you actually pulled me into your mess!' Liu Feng could not help but roar inside his mind. He had been forced to the corner and out of the conversation before and now he was pulled away once more.
'I still did not get to see the new Young Master yet! Heavens, what kind of game are you playing with me?!' Liu Feng could only lament inside his mind at the frustrating situations he had been placed in all day.
"Cheh! He actually found a helper so quickly! I was waiting for him to get beaten once before he would think of this on his second attempt." Li Xue stomped the floor beneath her at how her brother had found a loophole so quickly. "As to be expected of such a shameless man as Li Zhen."
"Haha! Xue'er what did you expect? He is still this old man's son after all." Li Zhang roared with laughter at the skit that his children had just played in front of him.
"Husband if we are moving to the Myriad Sword Pavilion in three days we need to begin preparations now. We also need to inform Yun'er and allow him to meet his younger brother." Qin Mengruo swiftly changed the topic as she spoke to her husband.
"Indeed, I will send word for our belongings to be moved immediately, whilst I am out I will go and find wherever Yun'er is hiding in the sect and bring him back with us."
----------------
Three days later, Qin Mengruo held Qin Li as she walked beside her husband and into her new home, the main palace of the Myriad Sword Pavilion. Standing on the other side of her husband was her eldest son, Li Yun.
Li Yun glanced around his new home's surroundings. The Myriad Sword Pavilion was located within a hidden area of the Central Sword Realm, The Pavilion was placed on the plateau of a mountain with a waterfall flowing down from above to the side and luscious forests surrounding it. This truly was a place of breath taking natural beauty. the location was surrounded in rich spiritual qi and all of the surroundings had developed magnificently because of this. Living in this pavilion would allow one to match the cultivation speed of those back in the headquarters of the Heavenly Sword Sect, a rate of twice the results for half the effort compared to the rest of the Central Sword Realm.
The Myriad Sword Pavilion was one of a handful of places located in the realm that could actually match the sect and it was the only other one of these locations that the Heavenly Sword Sect owned. The pavilion had been abandoned since before the start of the current era though as the rules regarding this place were strict.
No core member of the Myriad Sword Pavilion could interfere with the running of the Heavenly Sword Sect. Alongside this the core members of the pavilion would not cultivate the manuals of the Heavenly Sword Sect, instead the requirements were far more stringent. The core members must create their own cultivation manuals and reach the peak through their self created manual.
In all of history there had only been a single person to have completed this, however shortly after reaching immortality this genius had been slaughtered in an enemy ambush and had not been able to present his cultivation technique to the sect.
The outcome of this was that the Heavenly Sword Sect still only had one cultivation technique that allowed one to reach true immortality, the Flowing Heart Central Sword Manual.
The Flowing Heart Central Sword Manual had continued to advance beyond a manual that allowed to reach true immortality. The manual now covered thirteen levels of cultivation with the completion of the ninth level allowing a practitioner to become immortal. The levels named in the manual being the same as the names of cultivation realms within the Central Sword Realm.
These cultivation realms were grouped into four sets. All of these cultivation realms had similar sub-realms within them, being split into initial, mid, late and peak level. The groups were split as such:
The first being the Foundational Realms;
Elementary Foundation Realm, Essence Foundation Realm, True Foundation Realm
The second being the Mortal Realms;
Origin Attainment Realm, Soul Tribulation Realm
The third being the Dao Realms;
Dao Comprehension Realm, Dao Fusion Realm, Dao Lord Realm
Finally the fourth being the Immortal Realms;
Dao Immortal Realm, True Immortal Realm, Heavenly Immortal Realm
Lin Yun was born with top tier talent into the leading sect of this realm. At the age of five he had started cultivating and having only turned seven two months before the birth of his brother, he had already entered the peak Essence Foundation Realm.
This speed was shocking, with most talented geniuses only reaching the initial Essence Foundation Realm in the same period of time. Even Li Jie, a renowned prodigy, had been at the Late Essence Foundation Realm after the same period of cultivation.
However what was even more terrifying for the unknowing members of the younger generation was a piece of news hidden from even the core elders of the Heavenly Sword Sect. Qin Li's talent had been tested by Luo Ming the day before they left the Heavenly Sword Palace and he was even more talented that Li Yun!
If Li Yun's talent could be described as heaven defying, then Qin Li's talent could only be defined with a single phrase, heaven destroying!
