Kuru was glad when he learned that Ochieng' would fight from the enemy's side. He knew that victory would be achieved earlier than expected. However, he had never imagined that Keniya would be attacked even before Ochieng' made a significant move. If Ochieng' was not made aware, then the humans he was to save would be dead by the time he was done with his 'smart' moves. Therefore, even though Kuru chose to follow Okeyo, he was worried about the future.
'I believe in him, I hope he gets this over and done with as quickly as possible. We will try our best to keep the rest of humanity safe, but it is important that he is done as soon as possible.'
Kuru said beneath his breath. He was once an Ordainer; he did not want to see the Black Fiends win.
...
In the dark world, there was a hill full of trees that looked like pine. The trees were crimson in colour just like anything in that world. It was a large hill standing on a plane land making it conspicuous from several kilometres away. From afar, it looked like a behemoth that reached the skies. It was a spectacular landmark.
Within the woods, three men were hurrying up the hill. In front, a priest of the dark world was walking with a face full of joy. It was as if he could not wait to reach their destination. At the back was a man who was abnormally huge. He was licking his lips from time to time like someone who had just come from a very enjoyable meal. In the middle was a young man in his early twenties. There was a tight frown on his face.
'So, the people of Keniya are in danger, I can't let anything happen to them. Even though I want to finish this once and for all, I must go back to our land and deal with those Black Fiends first.'
The young man was Ochieng', the thirty seventh Ordainer of Keniya. Before he sent his companions to a random place in Keniya, he made sure to cast a spell on them. This spell would allow him know anything happening to Keniya even if he was not available. That was an ability he obtained from the horse, a god that was as powerful as the One from above. Immediately Kuru and the others got to Keniya, they met Okeyo, Mboya and the others. After the latter group told the former the plight of Keniya, Ochieng' managed to get that information as well.
'Apeleka, I can't believe that you are also with them. I really want to meet you, but this has to end first.'
With a face full of determination, Ochieng' declared. He had asked Mang'weya to help the others look for Apeleka. He would know if she was found. He didn't know that she would be found that quickly. While he wanted to meet her as soon as possible, he knew that mission would only take most of his time. He therefore felt that it was better to get it over and done with first.
"We are almost there."
While Ochieng' was immersed in his own thoughts, he heard the High Priest's voice that was filled with excitement.
They had been brought here by a flying beast. Since where they were going to was a place revered by the Black Fiends, it was respectful to arrive on foot. Therefore, they had the aerial beast drop them at the foot of the hill so that they could proceed on foot. They had been walking for an hour now. About five hundred meters above, a building that resembled cathedrals stood. It was tall and its roof was concealed within the clouds.
Ochieng's mind had been busy all this time. Upon hearing the priest's reminder, he stopped.
"What is it young man?"
Noticing the lack of movement from behind, the High Priest stopped and turned to Ochieng' impatiently.
"Something has fell on my belly and it is seriously itching me."
Ochieng' cried, scratching his belly as if he wanted to rip off his skin.
"Where?"
The High Priest got closer to have a look.
Pah!
As soon as the priest's head came closer, a loud slapping sound echoed within the crimson forest. The priest spun once before falling down. The giant man upon seeing this pounced on Ochieng' like a leopard on a gazelle. However, Ochieng' made a quick turn before countering the incoming attack with a fist. When they collided, the giant was sent flying a few meters away, taking down several trees with him.
"What do you think you are doing?"
The High Priest was already on his feet and was glaring at Ochieng' angrily.
"What I should have done the first time I saw you." Ochieng' smiled nonchalantly.
"Then you would will have to taste the power of my rod." Harrumphing coldly, the priest lifted his golden rod before pointing it at Ochieng'.
Wuush!
Even before he did a thing, he felt the weight on his left hand plummet. The staff he was holding less than a second ago was already on Ochieng's right hand and he was pointing it at him. Pressing on a certain point, the staff released a powerful wave of energies which moved towards the High Priest at a terrific speed. The latter just stood there petrified.
Meanwhile, the giant tried attacking Ochieng' once more but the young man lifted his empty left hand towards him. As soon as that happened, the giant felt a powerful force grabbing him by his neck before lifting him off the ground slightly.
Pu!
The High Priest spurted mouthfuls of blood even before the energies reached him. His eyes narrowed as he gasped for air. His fists and teeth were tightly clenched and the veins at his temples were bulging in a weird manner. His face crimsoned while beads of sweat appeared all over his crimsoned face.
When the energy landed on him, he was thrown on a tree ahead before falling down in wrecked state. Seeing his colleague struggling to free itself from an invisible thing up in the air, he almost fainted.
"You all... You are going to be my subordinates and help me kill those Black Fiends in Keniya or I wipe your faces off this world."
The giant was still struggling to free himself and the High Priest was still writhing in pain when the young man's angry voice resounded.
