Chapter 37 - Chapter 37

Professor Henry walked to his executive office chair and hanged his black coat. He then sat on his desk. The young woman the professor had walked in with walked to him and rounded her arms on his back. Two minutes is what the two took to move from simple to ardent kisses. Another two minutes passed and the professor slightly pushed the big-buttocked woman away from him. He then leaned on the desk and swept its contents with his large hands. He did not wait for it to be empty before grabbing the young woman by the waist and putting her on the desk. Then the kissing continued. Soon, they were undressing.

When they were all nude, the girl jumped off the table and went on her knees. She started giving the man a rhythmic fellatio. The man's eyes closed firmly in pleasure alongside his tightly clenched teeth. From how they were doing it, it was clear this was something they were doing, not for the first time.

"Eddie, we have had enough, can we leave this place now?" Anna asked. She couldn't bear to watch anymore. She turned her head away.

Eddie was already lost in his own world. He could not hear Anna. At this time, he was seething in anger and it was hard to tell whether he was really watching what was happening or not. However, as the young woman was lifted on the table and the man started pounding on her, Eddie's chest rose with every hit. His heart battered wildly on his chest making him breathe rapidly. He clutched on his chest tightly trying hard to control himself.

Thud.

Like a sack of potatoes, he fell on the ground where he writhed in painful convulsions. Anna jumped to help. She quickly produced a pillow from her storage wristlet which she lay his head on. His convulsions intensified and before long, he was floating in the air one foot from the ground.

A loud wail escaped his lips as he clutched his chest in pain. His face body soon filled with sudor making his clothes sodden. Anna tried using the little spells she had to help but everything she did only seemed to intensify his pain. Left helpless, she stood beside him watching. Suddenly, his body jarred before producing a whizzing sound. He fell with a force greater than the previous despite the distance from the ground.

He was left breathing as quickly as she had never seen someone do. She knelt beside him and took one of his hands, "Eddie, how do you feel now?" She asked, concern taking over her smooth face. He did not answer.

The pain had gone, he was relieved, she could see that. However, he was left weak and was still sweating profusely. She unbuttoned his shirt to find the gaping wound on his chest. She had been told that it had been dealt with, though not healed, it was no longer serious. What was looking at her seemed fresh, though not bleeding. If nothing was done, he would die.

"Eddie, please stay with me." She pleaded as she lifted his heavy figure out of the school compound. Barely after a few meters, a lump of saliva clogged her throat and as she tried to swallow, tears welled in her eyes, seemingly taking her strength with her. She fell on her knees, still lifting Eddie in her hands. As she put him down, she realized, in her tearful eyes that he had long fallen unconscious. She wanted to say something but something hit the back of her mind, sending her straight to the ground. Eddie had been thrown a few feet away from her and her eyes had long rolled back as her muscles became stiff.

In her state, her vision became white. In the whiteness, the sky darkened before pouring rains of fire. As the rains continued, she saw people run in pell-mell, like she had never seen before. As they did, some slumped as their heads popped off their shoulder, leaving behind flowery splashes of blood. Then a hoarse voice resounded,

"The Celestial Witch's harvest time is here. If the mark is not removed from him, child, his freedom will be for naught. If he dies, Woodland dies with him."

Then she was left panting on the ground like a dog that had just run under the sun for hours. "Prophecy, prophecy I did not divine. I must warn her." She quickly tried to rise but her strength failed her. She had been weakened a great deal. This left her crying in exasperation.

She knew a little rest would make her better. However, Eddie who was lying not too far away would probably die if something was not done. This frustrated her a great deal. She almost lost hope when her eyes closed to consume her consciousness. However, in the blur of her vision, she saw a humanoid with wings flap its wings towards them.
