Chapter 6 - Chapter Six

Loreen was Eddie's classmate and Canya's best friend. Not many people knew her true appearance since she always had a thick makeup on. Nonetheless, her physique showed her little to no clemency; she had a broad chest and narrow hips making her have a V-shaped body. Since she hardly wore clothes that covered her entire bosom, her sagging boobs were always exposed to an extent. At least, her makeup gave her a pleasant face. Otherwise, she would have been one of the least attractive ladies in the university.

After class, she had rushed to her room to pick a handbag and to drop her books. With the handbag, she descended the stairway leading to the entrance of the hostel. She was in a hurry seemingly not wanting to be late for something. When she was almost leaving the hostel, she remembered something and took a stairway leading to a hallway different from where her room was found. Stopping before a door, she knocked and when she received no answer, she pushed the door open.

"Canya?"

She found Canya lying on the floor unconscious. She immediately lifted her and lay her on the only bed in the room where she tried fanning her with a scarf she found hanging on a wall of Canya's room. Minutes later, when she had her phone in her hands to call the ambulance, Canya woke up looking confused.

"What happened?" Canya asked.

"I found you lying on the floor seemingly unconscious. Are you okay, I was just about to call an ambulance?" Loreen asked as she dialed some numbers. Canya took the phone from her before she made a call.

"I am fine…" Canya said but remembered something that hit her with a splitting headache at the back of her head. This made her clench her eyes in pain, instigating Loreen to snatch the phone and redial the numbers she had just dialed. However, Canya was much faster, she pulled the hand holding the phone behind her making Loreen miss.

"I am going to Hill Valley." Canya declared as she jumped out of the bed.

"To Eddie? Are you sure you are not going to drop dead even before you reach his place?" Loreen asked in anger.

"I am going to be alright, Loreen."

"Then I am going with you."

"If you wish."

Two minutes later, the two were on the pavement leading to the main gate, their destination was the Hill Valley.

The ringing of his phone woke Eddie from his nap. His thoughts had led him to sleep in his recliner. It was his friend Anna calling. She wanted them to meet in a restaurant near the school. Since he had nothing to do and was too lazy to prepare his food, he decided to go. After all, it was going to be Anna's treat.

From his house to the restaurant was just a five minutes' walk. He found Anna seated at a table waiting for him. Her look was sharp reminiscent of a dagger. This made a cold chill run up his spine since that look landed people in trouble. He did not want to be among those people.

Anna was also his classmate. She was a stout lady with a large bosom, what people claimed had to be the source of her large-hearted disposition. She was also known to be easy-going and was a friend to literally everyone. She was not the most beautiful girl out there but her soft flawless skin was matched by none. This made her slightly chubby cheeks attractive. Despite her kind nature, many people tried not to step on her toes because she could change to a she-devil in a wink.

"What did I do to make you look at me like that?" Eddie asked as he sat on the chair she had gestured for him to sit on.

"I just found out you have been bonking with that girl for the last three months. Didn't I warn you?" Anna spurted in a tone low enough for only him to hear.

"Why is it such a big deal, we love each other?" Eddie asked puzzledly.

"Love," Anna laughed contemptuously, "Are you sure you know what that means?"

"Why not?"

"Eddie, you have been my friend but more than that, you are what my people call 'The One'. They believe you will bring back one of our ancestors from where he was imprisoned by the great witch and our people will rise to where it had been in the past, you have no idea how bad I feel when you do things while oblivious to their consequences." She said lovingly.

"Anna, since I was a child until a few minutes ago in my house, many have been telling me how special I am. I am sick of it. You are bringing me the hopes of your people, why should my happiness be the cost?" Eddie was in the brink of shedding tears.

"I am sorry, Eddie. However, you have a destiny, one that every man would envy. You put a lot of obstacles in the path to that destiny when you get infatuated with the likes of Canya. She is a witch."

"What did you say?" Eddie directed a threatening look at Anna.
