I stood by exit of the metro station. I felt nervous but nothing can be done about that now since we're already decide this morning, I would take Lucy around for shopping first then we'll go somewhere else afterward and I'm thinking to end it all off with dinner.
When I texted Lucy in the morning asking her if she had anywhere she would like to go, she responded with shopping. Well I do know the perfect place for shopping for clothing. Going on a trip to the mall first won't be a bad idea since using the mall as a reference, I'll get to explain to her about our city center.
I was thinking of a few places that would've been good for a city tour but it would've been weird if Lucy had no interest in any of the places that I carried her.
Guess I'm a bit early, the time was only 12:45. I took out my phone to check up on any update while I keep a side glance on the metro exit.
As I was browsing a news headline caught my eyes, 'Six men found dead in a van'. That interesting since it was from my local new station. On the site it said that resident found a strange van parked on the corner and they called the police to investigate the van. The police found 6 dead bodies in the van, seem that five of the men already had a rap sheet with the police and was affiliated with the local mafia. No cause of death could be found so police are suspecting that a rival group had come up with a new poison and that this whole incident was a show of strength against the gang. The reporter finished the article with the question "Is this the start of a turf war?"
I was shock into disbelief with that article. Who could've cause all in this in our town?
"Good Afternoon" came a melodious voice from my right. *Ba-Thump *Ba-Thump I turn my head and saw Lucy standing there. Wow she looked gorgeous with a white shirt and a pink hoodie along with a simple jean with a few cuts along the leg. Does she look great in anything or does she have a great fashion sense.
"Hi, you look great" After researching countless articles on the internet I pick up a few hints. I learn that a guy should always compliment a girl's looks.
"Thank you" Lucy replied as she looked away from me. Wait, is she blushing? She got a cute side also; my heart began to race even faster as I noticed her cute side.
Feeling my heart race, I decide to change the subject. "Didn't you need to come from the metro?"
She shook her head "I live nearby so I just took a brisk walk to reach here."
Why does she seem cute shaking her head? I think my heart going to explode by the end of the day.
"Let go to Veligonnia galleria, it the main mall in the city so it also had the honor of being name after the city. The mall has all the main well-known brand but it also has a few more secrets." I began to walk toward the mall as I was talking.
"What sorts of secrets are there?" Her eyes were shining, eager to know the secret.
"I let you know after we finish searching all the main stores." Another hint from the internet, knowingly keeping secret can keep the relationship more interesting. The article also said that if I hide any secrets then I be in hot waters.
"Fine!" *Ba-Thump *Ba-Thump my hearth sped up again when I saw Lucy pouting.
As we walk, I decide to give her some interesting fact about Veligonnia history. I told her how the city was founded after an imperial princess demand that a city be built here when she saw the natural beauty of the wet lands. Even today the city center is a park that surrounds a pond full of water lilies. The park itself was also full of flowers since it was hilly instead of being flat like a normal wet land.
"I would love to go the park" Lucy said with a smile.
"We could go after the mall, it not that far and I heard that the sunsets there are gorgeous." Thank you, trip adviser.
Veligonnia mall was an extremely large mall, with dozens of shops ranging from clothing to electronic. The only thing that the mall lack was household products. There was a cinema on the fifth floor and even an entire amusement arcade on the sixth floor. It felt like the mall was made especially for young people.
We started with clothing stores and Lucy asked me to pick out some clothing for me and had me grade all the clothing she tried on, which began to become difficult to give objective judgement because everything she had tried out looked gorgeous on her and I could feel my heart beating faster as I stood outside the dressing room every time.
I did feel weird standing in a women clothing store, it felt like this is a place that I do not belong. Those looks from people around me aren't making it any easier, are they think that I'm a pervert.
"Wow, have you seen that girl"
"Is, she a model or something?"
"That guy is her boyfriend?"
I overheard two girl's whispering to each other. Look like I was just overthinking things. The reason that I am getting any attention was because of Lucy.
"Oh, he's cute"
"Looks like it, taking a better look at him, I would say he got that feminine beauty to him"
Wait! What do they mean by feminine beauty, is it because I am standing in a women's clothing store. Yeah, I got shoulder length hair but that shouldn't mean anything in this day and age.
"Did you notice his smooth snow-white skin? He got to be wearing make-up."
"I'm more interested in why lips look so perfect, he does not seem to be wearing lipstick, but his lips are a light pink"
"How do you think he going to look in that yellow dress you had on?"
"No, I think the green dress in the other store would fit him better."
Wait! Wait! I not wearing makeup. Do I truly look so girly? Maybe that is why Alvin was thinking that I was hiding in the closet. Is this how the world sees me? I was already getting used to getting used to the stares of hatred and jealousy from multiply men while I was walking with Lucy. Some idiots even pissed off their Misses by staring at Lucy a little too hard. One girl shoved her date into a fountain while he was enjoying god's artistic work and I think another girl took off her ring and shove it down her guy's throat. But this kind attention is not any better, I don't want people to think I'm a girl and that I belong in the women store.
"Are you okay? You seem to be a bit pale." Lucy had just come out of the dressing room while I was crying in my mind.
"Yes, I'm fine" I tried to sound as clam as possible but it made me feel happy that she worried about me.
Seeing that I was fine, Lucy give a two twirl to show me the dress she was wearing. "So, how do I look?"
*Ba-Thump *Ba-Thump every time I see her in a new outfit my heart seems to skip a beat. Everything she tried on today look's great on her. We went into stores that focus on Asian fashion, Old western fashion, European fashion, American Fashion and everything look great on her. Her looks truly are painted by the gods.
"You look fabulous but I think you already brought enough clothing to last a few months" Lucy had brought everything that I recommended to her and also the set of clothing that she ask me to pick out for me.
We lucky that the mall had an option for delivery since I don't know how we were going to carry all those bags.
"Okay, help me buy some accessories." She said with a smile on her face.
After we left the first two jewelry stores, every time we go near another jewelry store, it felt that they were welcoming royalty to their stores. Lucy look great in everything she wears, so once again, she brought anything I picked out or recommend for her. But even with the store receptionist splendid vocabulary and great persuasion skill, Lucy wont budge on buying the jewelry they were trying to push on her.
After around the seventh well-known jewelry store brand. We entered a small artisan store which instead of elegance beauty of the other stores' accessory, this store contained accessories that had a more mysterious feel to it. There were some accessories in the shape of a canine and bones, other in a shape of an animal, some in weird shapes, others in a weird spiral that any mathematician would rejoice if they created a mathematical formula that coordinated with the shape. There were no two accessory that was the same in the store. Even with my untrained eye I notice that the metal and gems of the accessory could not match the brand name stores but the craftsmanship should be on a higher level.
I turned to leave, thinking that with the amount of money Lucy spent today, she wouldn't want any thing from this store. But as I turned, I notice Lucy staring at a necklace. It was a necklace of a woman holding a crystal ball. The necklace was small but was very detail. Lucy had an intense look in her eyes as she examines the necklace.
"Excuse me, can you please tell me about this necklace?" Lucy ask the store owner.
The store owner came over and took a look at the necklace. "That the necklace that I work on for fifty hours straight. One night I had a dream of a goddess creating the earth. After the earth was molded, she held it like in the necklace with a motherly look in her eyes."
'Fifty hours straight, yeah right he got to be lying.' I was thinking at that time but then I heard Lucy's voice.
"I would like to purchase it please" Lucy voice had a warm feeling to it, it didn't make my heart beat faster but it actually calms it down.
Lucy purchase the necklace and look at it with a warm expression that made me smile. Lucy looked at me and began to smirk.
"Please, help me put on the necklace." Lucy requested with her melodious voice and off to the races my heart went again as I help her with the necklace.
