I giggled at Jason misfortune. If anything, today had been fun except the part where that old lady said that I can't be a model. What the F**k did she mean by short and fat, I'm taller than most women with my current height of 1.69 meters and is this body really that fat.
"Hey, do you want to anything in the mall?" I ask Jason since I realize he didn't buy anything at all during the entire time we were at the mall.
"No need, I brought everything I needed since February." Is he a considerate person or is it because he had been charmed by me?
"Let's go to the park or do you need something else from the mall?" Jason inquire from me.
"Nope I'm fine. Let's go" I said with the sweetest smile I could make without it seeming fake. The trip to the mall was originally Luxuria's idea when she saw that Jason was asking if there was anywhere, I would like to go. Her reasoning for the mall was that I would be able to express my charms in a good way if I have him judge the outfit I tried on and have him recommend some for me.
We entered the elevator to go towards the first floor but as the door was closing, a geeky looking teen began to run towards the elevator. While I was thinking that the teen was unlucky, Jason stretched his arm out to stop the elevator door. Maye Jason just a really considerate person.
"Thank you very much" the teen said as he enters the elevator.
"Your wel…" Jason stop talking when he notices the teen staring at me with his mouth open and had a stern look as he stares at the teen.
The teen realizing that he being rude quickly turned to Jason. "Sorry dude for staring at your girlfriend." He said with an apologetic tone. What the F**k. What about my apology? I'm the one you had been ogling towards.
"We're only friends and I'm not the one that needs the apology" Jason said with a stern expression.
"I'm sorry Miss for my rude behavior" The teen apologized to me when after taking the hint from Jason. Guess Jason is one of those gentlemen who's chivalrous. It would've been bad if he was the type of guy who accept the apology, implying that it okay for him to have authority over women.
"Don't stare at women so much kid or else people just going to think you're a pervert." I told the teen as I exited the elevator.
We step on the stone pavement leaving the mall. The city sure is beautifully built in the city center. There were no gaps between the buildings and none of the building is higher than five stories, with the curves of the streets and the small canals from here and there it really does give the city a unique charm. It didn't have the feel of being in a constant rush like in the other cities with skyscraper all around the place that mainly focuses on business nor did it had a natural charm that nature gives off, it felt like it was made for the slow and steady human life.
I caught sight of the intense, doting stare that Jason was giving me so I guessing that I was smiling as I was admiring the city. "Where are you looking?" I asked him in a teasing tone with a smile.
"Nowhere." as he said with a nervous tone and a blush on his face as he looks away from me. Jason really did look very cute when he blushes shyly.
"Hey, Lucy can you stop for a minute" I heard Jason voice, as I kept walking down the stone pavement.
When I stop, I saw Jason walking towards a homeless lady with two dogs.
He stooped down to give the lady a twenty-dollar bill [1]. "Can I touch them?" he asked with his hand next to the dog's noses with a smile on his face.
"Thank you and of course, they are friendly." The lady said with a happy smile on her face and thus, Jason began to play with the dogs on the busy pavement. He had a huge childish smile on his face and the dogs there also began to smile and look a lot happier with Jason here.
I also stooped down and handed the lady a twenty-dollar bill. Life may have been really unfortunate for her but still kept her two companions. She looked like she hadn't eaten for days while the dogs looked very healthy.
After playing with the dogs for a minute more, Jason said good bye since we were kind of in the way of the pedestrians.
We continue to walk for fifteen more minutes as Jason turns to me. "The entrance to the park is through a museum."
We step through the museum, I noticed all the interesting sculpture and artistic work being on display. The museum had that artistic feel in it, walking through it you could feel creativity flowing through you.
Since our destination wasn't the museum, we decide to instead walk towards entrance to the park, be it, at a slow pace. As we walked past the works of art, Jason looked at the arts being displayed with an intense look of adoration. His level of attractiveness does seem to increase a fair bit whenever he has an intense look in his eyes.
As we exit the museum the artistic beauty that had been radiating in the museum got replaced by natural beauty. Walking in the park you could feel majesty of the earth and the air also feels a bit fresher as I took a deep breath.
The park was really full of hills of flowers and I could hear streams running near us on the other side of the hills as we walk through the park. The evening weather made the walk felt even more relaxing, there was a lot of cloud almost covering the blue sky in a lot of different shape and size but none of them were rain clouds. The extra red glow of the setting sun made give the place a bit more charm when the cloud seems to come alive with the red glow.
As we walk, I used to chance to learn more about Jason since we had this peaceful atmosphere. "Jason have you ever been in the park before?"
With a longing face Jason began to speak "Mom used to take me to the park all the time in the past, but since I enter my teenage years, I haven't come with her. She told me that the park going to be a special place for you, don't let this old lady stand in your way."
"Oh, how about sibling, don't you have any?" I began to inquire from him. Luxuria told me that Jason would feel closer to me if we know more about each other.
"I'm an only child. How about you?"
"I got a lot of sibling but most of the time we just annoyed each other but if I were to say then I would say we very close to each other." I told Jason ambiguously.
"Then your parents must have a hard time since it sounds like you and your sibling are always fighting."
"Yep, Mom had a hard time dealing with us, she got so annoyed not knowing what to do with us whenever we fought against each other. In the end she decided to give each of us our own space" I giggled thinking about how his suspicions was so accurate.
"I wish I had some siblings. Being an emigrant kid was hard, it never seems that I had any place that I could've fit in. I don't think I had any friends until I met Alvin and Clare in high school." Jason said with a longing tone in his voice.
"Where did your parent emigrant from?" I went with the conversation and decided to ask.
"They came from China a year or two before I was born. Why did you decide to come to Veligonnia?"
"Oh, I was just rebelling against mom. I took some advice from my older brother and ran away with a friend." I was kind of telling the truth here.
"That is one great friend you got there. Not every friend would just change cities because another friend is rebelling. I think that mean she cares about you a lot." Luxuria cares about me a lot? I begun to wonder after hearing Jason said that.
We kept talking about random stuff as we made our way over to the pond that the made the city famous. When I climb the last stairs and reached the top the scene was stunning. A rather large pond full of water lilies surround by hills that had small streams running into the pond. On the hills was full of flower and some had trees which you could see a multitude of birds nesting in those trees. The view that stretches into the horizon also added into the charm of the place. The beautiful red streaks of light make the place felt like I was watching a painting as the sun goes lower and lower. The Moon to the side also added in a bit of unique detail to the moment.
Looking around I could see the other couples in the park kissing each other. It would be the perfect moment to kiss since the moment is so romantic so I look towards Jason but I didn't get what I was expecting.
Jason was staring off into the horizon with a nostalgic face. We stood there until the sun fully set.
"Sorry I blank out there for a second" Jason look at me and apologized.
"Then you missed the final moments of the sunset? It really was beautiful." I replied to him in a sweat voice.
I looked around and notice that everyone was still here as if they were waiting for something.
"Why is everyone still here?" I asked Jason.
"For the park's after show" after he said that, small lights began to appear all around us.
"Are those fireflies?" Jason nodded to my question while he stared at the beauty of the pond. The fireflies were dancing above the water lilies giving the pond a different look from the one it had before. As the fireflies were dancing above the lilies the reflection in water give the pond a dazzling glow.
"Come on, let's go. The fireflies light the path out of the park." Jason said as he led me down the stairs.
Walking upon the path, felt like walking through a cool fire with the combination of the cool evening breeze and light provide by the fireflies.
"We've been out for the entire day, should we grab some dinner?" When I heard his suggestion, I started to feel hungry since I haven't eaten since lunch.
"Okay, do you know of any restaurants?" I asked him
"Yes, I know of the perfect place." He replied as we walk out of this cool flame.
