Instant Time Mage 12
[Trial?]
My face warped mildly according to the mixture of indescribable emotions swirling in my heart. But when I think about it. What Vice President had given me this time was appropriate.
Because first off, I suddenly confess to be with her with my affections and adorations for her attached. I told her how I felt and desperately pleaded to be with her, all for the sake of staying healthy in this revolting world I'm suddenly allergic to.
And because I was inconsiderate at first, she probably didn't want to take my confession at face value. But because I persistently apologize and swiftly made up with her along the way, she could only consider my feelings and gave up resisting me.
I could count myself lucky that she gave this relationship of ours a trial. If I could persist a bit longer and continue to promote my worth for her, perhaps she will want to be with me as my companion.
Of course, that is considering that I don't fuck it up.
I soon regain my calm and nodded and smiled.
[Okay. I look forward to having it permanently established.]
Because like or not, I'm not the type to give up getting what I want.
The two looked at me speechless with different miens crossing their faces. Vice president looks at me, bashful yet charming and gave back a nod.
Meanwhile Red girl gave me a bitter look that looked like she had swallowed a fly and then shooks her head.
[Whatever then. Not like care how this relationship goes!]
Red girl shouted to release the bitterness inside her. She looks back and forth at me and Vice President and said [But...] glaring at me.
[Just wanna know in case you're up to no good. Who are you and what is Vice to you?]
Her glare was like laser beams piercing my heart. Seemingly intent to read my thoughts and expose myself. Vice president also looked at me. Seemingly wanting to know what I would say. And her hand holding mine lightly trembled in a way to show how nervous she was inside.
I gave them a thoughtful look. Closing my eyes and stroking my jaw. Seemingly contemplating how I should interpret my thoughts and beliefs. And hoping it would convince them both as I convey it.
Of course, it wouldn't be too difficult to answer Red girl. In fact, I too want Vice president to know how I feel about her. What my thoughts about her truly was, what her existence meant for me and how they grew to fill my heart, assimilated with my emotions and how I look forward to each each minute spent being with her.
But first...
[Shouldn't you introduce yourself first?]
Who is this little girl again?
So far, she's only been an annoying fly buzzing around our personal space. Wantonly getting between us and glaring at me in an unfriendly way.
And maybe because she's all that to me, I didn't notice before that her presence wasn't actually disgusting like everyone else. In fact, I feel her vibe was much similar to my best friend. Who was annoying for being handsome, dense and stupidly carefree.
[You... Stop trying to lead off the conversation!]
She spited back with futile reply. She glared spitefully at me, but Vice president raises her hand to calm her down.
[Don't be mad. Don't be mad. You guys should introduce each other first before continuing anything else.]
Her smile was entrancing enough to completely dispel our grievances. Provoking our thoughts to communicate peacefully under the tense atmosphere.
Red girl snorted. Seemingly uninterested in talking to me. But she sighed a second later as she saw Vice president smile. Then she looked up to me and said.
[R)-%@%$, nice to meet you. Okay, now it's your turn to introduce.]
... Ah, what?
The shock on my face was more disturbing than what she said. At first, I couldn't believe my ears. Then when I tried to rewind what she said, I found out that I couldn't understand what she said.
I looked at Vice president, only to see her more shocked than I am. Then we both looked at Red girl, whose expression remained unchanged as if she had never done anything wrong.
[You know, it's not nice to sound your name in gibberish to insult him. Just because you have a bad impression on someone at first doesn't mean you don't have to make a better impression on yourself.]
[Huh?]
Vice president is right.
People often forget that the most important thing when conducting a conversation is to make a good impression on others. Whether you are trustworthy or the type who's too timid to talk, as long as you're not some jerk who constantly shows disrespectful to others, then anyone will take your words at face value.
And this little girl thought sounding her name in gibberish was an appropriate way of introduction?
Unbelievable...
Red girl was taken aback and blinked at Vice president.
[Vice, what... What are you talking about?]
[As a senior in front of your junior, don't you think that it's a bit wrong to show such lack of consideration for one's feelings. Think about how people would feel when you call their names in gibberish? Don't you think it would be rude?]
[Of-of course it's rude!]
Receiving Vice president's reproach had made Red girl flinch with her eyes glistening.
[But... But... What did I do wrong?]
[You did something wrong... But you don't have to apologize for it. Just don't do it again and introduce yourself properly this time.]
[What... But... Okay, fine!]
Red girl then glared daggers at me with her teary eyes. Her face was slightly pang. Seemingly confused why Vice president was reproach in her. But she took a deep breath and braced herself.
[My name is R)-%@%$, nice to meet you--]
[R)-%@%$! Just stop it already! If you're not going to do it properly then don't do it!]
Because Red Girl did it again, Vice President rebuked her with a scolding tone. But sensing the oddity in her words made us astonished in disbelief.
Red girl and I exchanged glances at each other and looked at Vice President with our own frowns.
[There's something wrong here?]
I pointed it out to the both of them and then added.
[Hey, say your name one more time, please.]
[Huh?]
Red girl was startled for a second before saying again.
[It's R)-%@%$.]
[R)-%@%$, I told you to--]
[Vice president, please listen. Okay, can you say it one more time?]
I gently raise my hand at Vice President as to try to make her understand the oddity in the situation. I look at Red girl who looked back at me exasperated but reluctantly nodded at my request.
[Ugh. Fine. I'll say it as many times as you want. It's R)-%@%$! R! Y! U! K! A! R)-%@%$!]
[... I see.]
Now I understand.
The reason why Red girl spilled out that gibberish line wasn't to insult me... It was because she couldn't pronounce it properly.
My face scrunched up the moment I realized that. Several theories flashed in my head as I tried to sort out my thoughts. And when I came to a ridiculous deduction, I wanted to first test a theory.
[My name is K&()&!... How did that sound to you guys? Did it sound gibberish?]
I asked both of them looking at me with strange looks. Vice president, seemingly worried over something asked.
[Are you guys playing some mind game here? Why are you two speaking gibberish?]
That confirms it.
I flick my fingers as I figured it out.
Something is definitely wrong here and it just so happens to affect us.
The forest, our cut-out classrooms, our gibberish names and sounds. The 3 are definitely connected to the current situation now and that amplifies the theories I had in mind.
[You guys...]
Just when I was about to explain them both our odd circumstances, a long, ominous shadow loomed across the room and dimmed our vision. A sense of foreboding gave me chills in the spine.
I look to my right where I sense a presence and--
[Vice president!]
I push her away from me as fast as I could.
Boom!
The windows shattered as it entered in a furious strike. In a speed faster than the eye could see, it made its way to us as it assaults.
Puchi!
The sound of flesh punctured through could be heard as blood splashed into the air.
[R)-%@%$!!!]
Vice president bloodcurdlingly screamed as she laid her eyes on...
