"Mom, Where is Ash?" Ira finally remembered that Ash her brother also lived in the same house.
"That brat! I don't know where and when he comes and goes." Sia exclaimed with a sigh.
"Hey, I was sneezing a while back. It turned out my sister, and my dear mom were missing me. Hehe." Ash said with a playful smile.
"Say the name of the devil and the devil appears." Tej Rai muttered.
"Did you read the book I gave you?" Ira asked Ash.
"Ah! Not yet...I will read it tonight." Ash replied unnerved by her stern questioning gaze.
"What book?" Dad asked.
"Business management. I am teaching him Management, finance, and marketing." Ira replied. Then with a frown looking at Ash, she said: "You better complete it before entering the office on Monday."
"Okay, Boss!" Ash exclaimed.
Dad was pleasantly surprised hearing that Ira was teaching Ash, while more shocked that Ash was peacefully learning from her. He was proud of both of them and their bond.
She messaged Viv 'Is your meeting over? What time do you reach the Rai Mansion?"
Beep, the reply came in a few minutes: "In 15 min. On the way hon. I have Good news."
Ira stood at the window when it was time she ran downstairs and waited.
When the sound of a car coming in was heard, She opened the door with joy and saw Viv coming out of the car. She dashed to him. "What is the good news?"
Kissing her on the cheek, he said "Slow down...Tell you later!" and walked right in.
Ira knew that way he had gone for the meeting it was quite an important one. From his message, she figured it was related to her. 'Is there any progress on Jain group revenge plan?' she thought.
Taking his jacket in her hands, she smiled and asked: "Did you have lunch?"
"Sister, the sun has set, the sky is dark! Your husband must have had lunch outside" Pointing to a window a third wheel appeared. Ash smirked proudly.
"Yes, I did!" Viv smiled.
"You Go read the book." Ira reprimanded Ash.
"Okay, Boss!"He walked back to his room.
Watching Ira who was whining about Viv leaving her alone on their wedding anniversary, now sticking to him like an obedient wife, Sai Rai smiled. 'Like Father Like daughter.'
The doorbell rang again. It was Tara. "Mom, You are here." Ira greeted her. She called her; celebrating their wedding anniversary with a family dinner.
Looking at the table full of dishes that she loves to eat, with both of her Mom's on her side, who kept on serving her, she felt warm.
Spring rolls, Fish Soup, Prawns Dumpling..... and Peking Duck!
Mom sliced the Duck perfectly in front of everyone. Thin slices with tender meat and Crispy Skin.
Tasting it, she said: "Mom, You make the best dishes they can't even make at the 5-star restaurant."
"Your mouth is really sweet today." Sai Rai's voice softened.
"No, Its true, you can beat a well-known Chef anytime. " Ira said planting the idea of being a chef in her mom's mind.
Just in a few moments after it was served, the duck vanished from the table quickly. Ira moved her chopsticks only to find the platter empty.
She watched Ash having a pile in his Bowl. Sensing her gaze, Ash stuffed everything in his mouth at once like a hungry wolf.
Her eyes fell on Viv's plate. Viv was not eating his piece on his plate.
"You are not eating it? It's delicious!" Ira stared straight at the last remaining piece of duck.
"Eat" Viv directly placed it in her bowl. He could discern that she has not eaten her full of meat as he took delight in watching her savoring it. He noted her love for the duck in his mind.
She smiled happily stuffing it in her mouth and relishing its taste.
Returning back home, Ira got in the passenger seat of the car, letting Viv drive it.
Viv leaned over and tied the seat belt for her. His face was so close to her; her heartbeat began to accelerate, she left a big red kiss mark on his cheek and laughed.
Viv saw the mark in the rear mirror but didn't try to erase it. Ira leaned over with her slender fingertips on his face to wipe the mark, however, changed her mind midway, saying "Now that I have marked you. You are mine for eternity."
"Yes, Your Majesty." He drove back with the mark painting his cheek. Thankfully night was dark with no one to notice his face.
Ira chucked.
"Why are you laughing now?" Viv asked.
"Nothing." she smiled smugly.
Ira actually remembered Tara's words: "Pregnancy is 9 months of cheat days. You get to be moody, lazy and fat."
